The food was good. The staff was friendly. The order taker asked both in our group if they wanted a pickle with their sandwich. They both said yes and neither got a pickle. Not a big deal, but why ask if you're not going to give it anyway. Also, the soups and au jus for a sandwich were served in Styrofoam drink cups. That was awkward.Will we come back? Absolutely. The attention to details are a little disappointing on this visit. I would call this a bad night. Normally, this restaurant is reliable.
We lived in Cookeville for three years now and finally tried McAlister’s deli. After all there’s 213 places to eat in this town so it took us a while to try this one. What a pleasant surprise.McAlister’s deli is a small chain fast food deli.If you eat in their large dining room you get real silverware and a heavy plates. These are their $10 salads and they are delicious.Lots of chicken, strawberries, blueberries, greens, candy pecan pieces and fat free raspberry vinaigrette. It’s a big full meal for only 380 calories.By the way hats off to David. Not only does he greet you and keeps the large dining room spic and span. But remembers you from past visits.
Had a ladies day out with my 98-year old grandmother to McAlister’s Deli this Saturday. We were greeted by David who was so sweet and opened the door for us and made sure we got in safely with our wheelchair.We were then greeted by Ricky who let us know he would love to take care of us once we got settled and again was quickly made sure we had everything we needed before we ordered.Our Reuben sandwich was the best I have ever had and plenty to split. Our lemonade was real and very tasty.The restaurant is very clean and had a variety on the menu to please everyone. In spite of not many staff on the floor the team that was there was friendly, helpful and with a smile.With many options in the Cookeville area to stop for a bite to eat McAlister’s will be our go to again and again.
I love this place, the menu, their food, the sweet tea, everything.This comment it isn't regarding the food.Personally, I always add tip even though you don't have a dedicated waiter. I understand how it works, and I really appreciate all the employees working in fast food chain restaurants as it isn't easy to work with so many hungry customers.So I'm giving two stars, just because when I was paying, the cashier asked me "Are you adding a tip?".I added a tip and It was my idea to do so before her question.However I don't consider that it is appropriate to put any pressure to get tips for the crew.
Cost 45 dollars for 4 sandwiches and a bowl of soup.. Friday night at 7:00 when we came in, our first time here. The dining room was almost empty so we thought okay let's order and see what all the hype is about. WORST MISTAKE EVER. After we order we look for a seat to sit at, ..... every booth is dirty and I'm not talking about crumbs on the table I mean Nobody took the last customers plates and drinks off the table or wiped it down. Fairly new restaurant in Cookeville, TN. Large variety of deli sandwiches and soups. I had the New Yorker and was pleased with the taste and amount of food. They give a military discount.
A Rep bought us lunch yesterday and McAlister's made me the best Taco Salad I have ever eaten with a lime dressing. Even though they took it off the menu. It was the best. Thank you McAlister's for the special salad.
Ate in our vehicle. Only my husband went in to order. Few people in line ahead of him. Short wait for food. Chicken tortilla soup was delicious.
me and my brother ate there this afternoon and waited 20 min for our food and it was cold and made wrong and the guys in the back kept talking about labor and needing to let someone go home! quilty of the food was gross and cold
They have a wide selection to choose from. Food is always fresh and hot. Excellent service! Jacob was excellent and helped me with 5 different things while I was there!
