I've eaten here twice in the last two weeks and both times the food was delicious and the service was terrific! I had a sirloin steak with a side salad the first time..and I was pleasantly surprised in the salad. It had grated boiled egg and croutons in addition to plenty of grated cheese ( & a couple cherry tomatoes I think) and it was very fresh tasting. In the past Cheddar's salads were pretty much just bagged salad mix with a tablespoon of cheese.The second time I had baby back ribs with glazed carrots and a loaded baked potato. The ribs were very, very good and I also enjoyed the flavor of the carrots. The baked potato was fine but only had a small bit of sour cream with some melted grated cheddar on top....not exactly what I would call a 'loaded' baked potato...even some butter would've helped. I will say it was a regular side option and I didn't pay extra for it to be loaded (extra loaded?) So maybe they just need to change how it's listed on the menu. And if course, those fabulous flaky croissants they bring out while you wait for your food....light, flaky and drizzled with honey. You could make a meal out if those alone! Highly recommend just for those alone.
Came on for birthday dinner and ordered the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo, salad, and the Sirloin Steak and Coconut Shrimp. Tried the Spinach Dip appetizer, which could have been warmer, but was still tasty. The steak was cooked just right for medium and seasoned nicely. The Alfredo sauce was very good - great flavor. Server did an excellent job. Only offsetting experience was the dirty bathroom, which was disgusting. Should be periodic checks. Otherwise, our meal was very good.
In this day and age of a lack of enployees this location was a surprise. Plenty of help and being in a college town probablr helped
I got the buffalo chicken wrappers....I rate my stuff from 10 to be the best & 1 being worst.- Chicken wrapper I give a 5- salad I give a 4 cause there was too much cheese.- crossiant I give a 6!
Wasn't overly impressed with our meal tonight. My fries were flat out cold. Husband had the Monte Carlo, I had a grilled chicken. Just wasn't that good. Never got a refill for our drinks, come to think about it..Staff didn't come back to check on our food at all. Brought the check and that was it.
Chicken tenders and veggies very good. Service great. Will definitely return. A little disappointed that menu has changed to be like chili's, Friday's, etc, and the home cooking choices are gone.
We had a fairly large party, as we made a last minute decision after long services, they got us all seated in 20 minutes and were very attentive. A wonderful dinner with family.
Probably have dined here 25x over past 10 yrs. Only disappointed once, and the mgmt. went overboard to make it right and satisfy us. I consider the place to be a dependable and comfortable restaurant, good food for a chain venue, wait staff almost always competent, making this a dependable choice. Prices are very fair for what is delivered.
Had a 15 min wait which wasn't too bad. Waiter was excellent, especially with suggestions, as I'd never been here before. Food was really delicious and good portions. Overall, really enjoyed the whole experience.
This is the second time we've eaten at Cheddar's scratch kitchen the first time was it Roanoke Virginia, and it was excellent. The cheddar scratch kitchen and Cookeville Tennessee was also excellent the food was prepared exactly the same way as the other restaurant I would highly recommend visiting this establishment
