So the food is great. I have no complaints with the food nor the service. Best cinnamon roll I’ve had in a long time, it was so good that I went two weekend in a row. Except, I did not appreciate them jacking up the price for Mother’s Day. Last week, I got biscuits and gravy, with eggs and bacon, no more than $10. This week, for Mother’s Day, $20 per person regardless of what you get. They had a brunch menu, where you’re forced to pay $20 per person and choose from a limited menu. Asked to order from the regular menu and received a hard no from the waitress. Very disappointed and will not be back.
Went to on a recommendation. Definitely a great place. Simple place with good food and homey feeling. Simple menu with daily specials.
When I think of Tennessee, this place is the epitome of what I imagined it to be. Delicious homemade cooking, biscuits and gravy (like grandma used to make) and sweet, southern hospitality. We visited here twice while we were visiting family and house shopping nearby. The cinnamon rolls are to-die-for and our service was amazing too. I look forward to becoming a "regular" in the near future.
This is a very quaint roadhouse to eat at. We went out of our way to go there well worth it. Very good food, friendly staff, quick service. Was like a step back in time
I've been to several down home, country style, off the beaten path, southern cafes in my life. Marcy Jo's absolutely is the cream of the crop! From the moment you walk in it's just like stepping into your grandmother's house. The Buck stove is crackling in the middle of the floor making the interior extremely cozy, and the aroma of home cooked food is absolutely heavenly. The entire staff is extremely friendly, and personable as they talk to you about who you are and where you're from. They treat you as you should be treated, like a person. We were honored and privileged to meet Marcy, Hopi, Rory, and his cute as a button daughter Indiana. Rory is not your protypical superstar. He is an extremely approachable person and the most down-to-earth gentleman I have ever met. He called my wife and I by our first names and engaged Us in conversation for a few minutes. He even asked if we would like a picture with him which I thought was extremely generous. I would not hesitate to support this small business again if I'm ever passing through the Columbia area. I highly recommend it! Oh yeah, the cinnamon roll is to die for and an absolute must try!
3 of us ordered the stuffed french toast and when it came out all three said they should have split one but somehow it all disappeared. sitting next to the wood burning stove was great on the chilly morning we were there too. Very friendly staff, like eating at your Aunts house.
The best cinnamon rolls and gravy and biscuits ever!!
The food was amazing! ❤️ The service was great also. Will definitely be back!
This downtrodden old building holds a wonderful place of community with great food too! Marcy Jo is a genuine gem and was so kind and gracious to us. She served us and answered our questions about this unique restaurant. Loved it and have already shared with others to visit.
Large portions. Delicious food. Friendly service.Unfortunately the cinnamon rolls we heard so much about were a bit dry, there was not much cinnamon and overly sweet frosting. Everything else was fantastic!
