Both times we've been to the area, our group had a gathering after our visit to the museum. The catfish is awesome, sides are good. You won't leave hungry. Last fall's visit, we packed the place and they were very accommodating and remained so inspite of the hectic service needs. This year was a smaller group, but service and food just as good.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! We stopped in while we were in the area. I think the overall 4.4 rating is really low for this place... It was 5 stars for us all the way. We had the fried green tomatoes with their side of pickled tomatoes and they were fantastic. We got the catfish dinners, tried green beans, cole slaw, and white beans and there were so good.... Excellent southern home-cooking. The hush puppies were awesome and my husband tried the peach cobbler. All of it was great! Get past the appearance of the interior and you'll have a great meal.

Great food, nice people. Hushpuppies are great. Can't get enough. Tried the two fried pork chop meal with 3 sides and tea. Juicy chops, great beans and I used the hush puppies like corn bread. Was great. Too much to eat at one sitting. You'll need a to go box for sure. I can't make it to the deserts. lol

Great food, but I was charged $77.50 on my credit card for a 3 piece catfish dinner. I didn't notice the charge until it was too late for either the credit card company to dispute and Catfish Campus only keeps receipts for 3 months. I know I should've noticed earlier and it might've been resolved, but I also shouldn't have to worry about a mistake of that magnitude occurring. I could've bought 7 catfish dinners for what I was charged for one.

We found this place because we saw it on Tennessee Crossroads and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! This is our new favorite place for Catfish dinner. Lightly breaded Catfish and hush puppies are too! Nice and big, seasoned perfectly and best baked potato ever. Turnip greens were yummy. Generous helpings, great service, friendly family owned. They offered us sweet pickled tomatoes while we waited. (Which wasn't long either) and those tomatoes are delicious!I was too full and didn't have room for the homemade pie or desserts.. but regretted not taking some to go later...but we're definitely going back!It was a good find! Nice big portions, and if you like homemade,, with southern sides and a friendly atmosphere and fair prices? Go give them a try. Oh! We drove to Columbia,TN from Carthage TN. Worth the drive! My only negative comment would be that the restaurant could use some brighter lighting or decor. It felt a little dark or closed in. Somewhatoutdated..but the restaurant is clean..Besides, that food is so awesome so didn't bother me much. after that delicious dinner..We loved it!Monica & Randall Milks

We saw this restaurant featured on Tennessee Crossroads and thought we would make the 45 minute drive to try it out. Very disappointing. The catfish was cooked beyond recognition. Same for the popcorn shrimp. Baked potato was Luke warm. White beans had very little seasoning. We won’t be back

First time visit and I was surprised. Walking in it seemed a little depressing (though I did visit at a normally dead time) but when I tried the food I saw why this place has such a good rating. Catfish was delicious, I've only had hush puppies that good at Uncle Bud's, coleslaw was really good as were the green beans, and I've never had pickled tomatoes before but I can't wait to have theirs again. Food is definitely a 10/10.

This family owned and operated restaurant is our favorite place to go. The service is always friendly and excellent. The food very good every time. We highly recommend Catfish Campus.Jacques and Terry Dufresne

My wife and I eat here about twice a month and we love it. The staff is always so nice and very efficient.

First time at the Catfish Campus. Would love to see a remodel/update on interior... Because this place has GREAT food. You love catfish and home style cooking, this is the place. Had the catfish, turnip greens and baked tater with works. Your table is greeted with hush puppies and the BEST sweet pickled green tomatoes. Staff was so nice too ?. Can't wait to return and try some other items on the menu. Thanks Catfish Campus for a wonderful lunch.
