Great food, impeccable service, very comfortable atmosphere. This is going to be a regular stop!

This restaurant makes a valiant attempt at being an upscale Italian restaurant, the service is great, the decorum is reminiscent. The only thing is the food is just okay. My adult party of 4 all commented similarly. For example, the marinara sauce looked like it should but had very little flavor, less than most pizza sauce, it reminded me of week old red sauce. It wasn't distasteful, but certainly not worthy of any praise. Coming from NY, red sauce is an Italian cook's Hallmark. If that isn't remarkable, you can't expect much of their commitment to good Italian flavor, and Barino's landed there for me and my party. For $120 pre tax and tip, I won't be returning, not a good value to me.

I’ve been 4-5 times and there’s never been a time that I have been disappointed as a matter of fact I’ve always been amazed at how wonderful the food is! There’s not a lot of space inside so I recommend either making reservations or getting there super early because everyone knows that this place is thebomb.com!!

Just ate at Barino's tonight and it was excellent. I had the marsala with brisket, what a great blend of Italian and southern cuisine. Their homemade cheesecake was a great way to finish the evening. If you want a great meal with a wonderful atmosphere, this is your place.

If you are in Columbia, this must be on your list. The food was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere is very nice....highly recommended. You can tell they take pride in offering an excellent dining experience to their guests.

Best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time! We met friends there for dinner tonight. We drove about 45 minutes from our town to Columbia and were not disappointed! Definitely make reservations because the seating area is limited. The interior is decorated nicely with several tables in the center and booths lining 2 walls. They don’t play music which was nice because we could carry on a conversation without talking over the music. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout dinner. We started with 2 appetizers, the baked/fried ravioli and the basil pesto cheese flatbread. See pictures for menu names. The ravioli was full of delicious stuffing inside a crispy pasta served with a rich tomato marinara. It’s a generous serving of 6 large raviolis. The flatbread is cheesy with a swirl of fresh basil pesto on top. For dinner, I ordered cheese lasagna with red sauce. I was going to get meat sauce, but it was a mixture of beef and pork, which I don’t like. The lasagna was thick with several layers of pasta and cheese and the serving size was generous. My friend ordered the pizza with fig jam, bacon, smoked pork, mozzarella, and goat cheese topped with arugula and balsamic glaze. The crust was crispy and it was topped with plenty of fresh arugula. She really liked it.The other entree we ordered was linguini pasta with shrimp, onions, peppers, chicken, and Italian sausage tossed with a spicy white sauce. There were large shrimp and plenty of the listed ingredients. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. We ordered the tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. The tiramisu was flavorful, but too dense… which is just a personal preference. We will definitely return sooner than later. We spent about $45 per person which included a glass of wine, appetizer, entree, and dessert!A lovely evening with friends!

Had the most wonderful meal at Barinos. Wait staff was attentive and friendly, atmosphere was really hip and cool, and the food! The food was absolutely amazing!!! Very unique and delicious...I got to try a taste of everyone's dish at the table....everything from fabulous standard Italian dishes to wonderful new takes on the standards!!!! I would highly recommend that you make Barinos part of your regular restaurant rotation!

I'm new in town and don't know all the great places so I look for reviews on the web. Last night, I was craving Italian and found Barino. It looked good, had mostly good reviews so I ordered lasagna and Bolognese to take out. The order was correct and on time. However, I was disappointed when I got it home. The restaurant is very stingy with their sauce and there was only about 3 tablespoons of marinara on each item. Since their lasagna is baked with no sauce, after 3 bites you are left with half the order without sauce and although very tasty, it was too dry to eat. The Bolognese was only a bit better. At least all the spaghetti pasta had a tinge of red colour. Big waste of $50. 2 stars for effort...I guess I'm forced to go back to my own kitchen for good Italian.

Had to eat outside which was ok it was a beautiful night, thought we would be forgotten outside like other restaurants but they did a good job waiting on us outside as busy as they were. The fried ravioli was wonderful. The special, linguine with Italian sausage, chicken, and shrimp green peppers and onions was really good but they don’t give you veryMuch meat at all, very pricey for a bunch of noodles , the food was good.
