Okay so I have mixed reviews about this place, the service was awesome, but the food was bland with no seasoning (asking my other 6 guests in the process). Definitely needed more sauce on the side. Rice was undercooked & sad to say there was a hair in my nephew’s food ? the waitress instantly corrected it, but the food no bueno for me. 1st impression not a fan but I don’t think there will be a next time.
Worst sushi I’ve ever eaten and the wantons were very bland and overcooked. The dine in experience maybe better but this should not be acceptable. I should’ve read the reviews before placing an order but I was in a hurry and from out of town. Furthermore I tried to place the order by phone and was instructed to place the order online. No big deal until I was charged to place that order using a service I HAD to do to get the order placed. That didn’t even bother me until I learned of the quality of the food. I’d pay $25 a meal no problem if it was appetizing and delicious. However this was what I would envision gas station sushi to taste like.
I went in for take-out, so I can't speak to the dining experience, but I can speak to the quality and price of the food, or at least the food I ordered. The crab wontons are actually pretty good; it's obviously imitation crab, and they're basically $2 per wonton, but overall they're not bad. The beef fried rice, on the other hand... for one, I have no idea how they managed to make fried rice mushy. Not to mention how bland it is. Tastes like nothing at all...just a very slight taste of pepper, nothing more. Then the beef...for $14 I expected some steak, but no, the beef is that leftover part of the cow you don't want to eat. I don't suggest ordering it. Plus, they charge you a 10% take-out fee, and a convince fee for ordering online. I for one am never going back here. I would recommend checking out Fuji Cafe on Popular. Better food, better prices.Update: I went back to try the sushi. It is equally uninspiring. Osaka down the street across from Kroger has much better sushi.

The food has definitely changed. The food was not good when we went 02/09/2022. We love Stix, but we won't be returning. The service was good, but thw food was horrible!!! Do not go if you want great tasting hibachi.
Wait time too long, food ok but bland broth not soup. Not compatible with price. This place used to be so good. Definitely needs a change in management, cooks and host.

I will admit it has been a while since I have eaten at Stix. However, I will not be going back or getting take out. A 10% service charge is fine if the food is good. Soup is basically just broth or colored water. There used to be onions or mushrooms in it. The salad was definitely from a bag with a small amount of dressing. The vegetables had no seasoning and included shredded carrots similar to what is in a salad. The fried rice is bland. Not worth the high price that was charged.
I ordered take out and after eating my meal I saw in my online banking that I was charged $6.29 more than what I should have been according to my order receipt.Review update- The owner responded to this review and was very helpful in correcting the issue. He even gave me a $20 gift card for the inconvenience which I really appreciated. :)
