Rice Chicken and Cheese, EXTRA CHEESE! Chicken and Cheese EXTRA CHEESE! I think they mark it X-tra cheese but the cook sees Somehow NO CHEESE. This happens alot! Then the cheese came 15 minutes later. Chicken is cold $7.06 service charge too! Also am I the only one that likes my tea cold?? Put some ice in it so when you pour room temperature or higher tea in it the ice won’t completely disappear before it gets cold. Never going back. Had to track down a girl to get my check to leave.
Delicious! We had the lunch pick three. Salsa was fresh and tasty.
The manager that claims she’s the owners daughter has a VERY nasty attitude. Not manager like at all. Had a issue where I left a pair of sunglasses on the table, went back to retrieve them (Never accused anyone of taking them) & her response as a manager was “my dad owns this restaurant I have no need to take your sunglasses” & she went to have a seat. Very unprofessional. I can definitely tell her dad owns the restaurant. Only reason why she has the job.
Horrible experience! I'm a server (part-time) myself and I have not experienced such unprofessionalism and such a lack of concern for the customers as my family and I experienced Friday night @ Frida's-Collierville and with LupeM being our waitress. We had to ask her for EVERYTHING, including silverware and napkins! The service was extremely poor! Evidence of the lack of service was definitely hypocritical, stereotypical and racially motivated. As I looked around at other tables, It was apparent that the customers who were not African Americans were not experiencing the same mistreatment as we were and it was obvious that they had what they needed at their tables. We had to even ask her to refill our water glasses. My 13 year-old granddaughter asked her to refill her drink once. When LupeM refilled my granddaughter drink upon her request, she did not offer nor did she refill the smaller children drinks, two 5 years old and a 2 year old. Though she never offered refills, she certainly did not forget to charge adult prices for the children's drinks, $2.50 each. Why would any restaurant charge small children beverages the same as an adult beverage and you say that you have a children menu? What's worse, why would you not refill glasses? Unacceptable! The food was not seasoned! Tasteless!... and for the money, definitely not worth it! The cook was standing in the window drinking a corona beer! Unacceptable! The very small bowl of cheese dip that they charged $9 for tasted like it came straight out of the container you can purchase yourself from Sam's and it was served cold. When I asked LupeM to please warm up the cheese and also bring an additional cheese dip with meat, she brought them both back warm, not hot, barely warm. Nothing at all was impressive about this restaurant to me! It is DEFINITELY A COMPLETE RIP OFF! There were 8 in my party, 4 adults and 4 children (15, 5 and 2) and the children were counted in the part. Based on the number of people in my party (even the small child who we did not order for), the restaurant felt that warranted 18% gratuity! I asked to speak to the Manager and she was equally unconcerned. I expressed to the Manager how extremely displeased I was with the service, how we had to ask for everything, not offered refills of drinks or water, brought carry-out trays but not offered bags! Then to make it all worse, the waitress sat down directly across from us with other people and completely stopped waiting on us. I had to get her attention and ask for our receipt! By this time, I was furious! I did not agree with paying LupeM a $30 gratuity tip for EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. She did not work for it. She did not deserve it. Had I read that small print on the front door of the restaurant as you enter, which was pointed out to me by the Manager as I was leaving, my family and I would have turned around and gone elsewhere for dinner! I do not, at any time, support mistreatment and poor service! These are trying times. We are in a recession and when you spend $200 at an establishment, you deserve good service. Even if the service isn't great, customers should be able to look forward to good service at least! LupeM did not put forth any effort to take care of us as her customers because she knew that she did not have to work for it. She knew that regardless, she would still get her 18% gratuity and we, the customers, the patrons, had no control over the gratuity or the amount. This establishment add 10% gratuity charge for one to four people. More than 4 people, the add 18% gratuity. Customers should not have to pay on demand, especially for poor or bad service. I know what good/ great service is because I strive to give just that to my customers. I work for it and I appreciate my tips because I earn them. Please know that I am not just stopping here with my review! I will make a formal complaint with Frida's Mexican Restaurant Corporate office, with BBB and FDA.
Pure balls.I am a Collierville resident that won't visit this place again.I'm no fan of the concept of tipping, not from a servers viewpoint but a business owner, where its ok to VASTLY underpay an employee so its patrons can subsidize that cost of business.However, upon this, my last visit, they went ahead and "pre-tipped" themselves 10%, good or horrible service. Tonights service was average, a step above their historically horrible service. You cant get servers bc of pay? Shocking! People not subsidizing that cost ENOUGH? Maybe pay them a living wage, generate happy employees, and therefore happy patrons, and create a new culture.I just paid $150 for 2 adults and 3 kids, for which 75% of the food content was RICE!!! Your food or service quality just arent worth it!
The food was good. The dip was a little cold. No big deal but they had a 9-10% service fee without telling you. I saw at the front that had party’s of 6 or more but it was just 4 of us. Our server was nice though and everything came out quick and tasted fine. I’m sure it’s a management thing.
I ordered a taco salad which cost $14. When I received my bill I noticed I was charged $19. The waiter said I was charged extra because I asked for tomatoes and jalapenos to be added to my salad. It's ridiculous to charge five dollars for a few chopped tomatoes and jalapenos. It should already be on the salad. Then I noticed a $6 service fee. The waiter explained there was a sign posted at the front saying all orders will be given a service fee. Due to these ridiculous added costs I didn't leave a tip because I my bill was $25 for a simple taco salad. Couldn't believe they would charge five dollars for tomatoes and jalapenos. Needless to say my friends and I decided this would be our last visit to this place. Not worth it. I used to dine here regularly but charging five dollars for tomatoes and jalapenos is really ridiculous.

Let me start by saying I could go for the margaritas alone. So good. Savor the flavor, please don't chug ?. The menu options are what you would expect, but the food is delicious and served hot (which is very important to me). I love the jalapeño cheese dip, taquitos, nachos, and the fajitas. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. Customer service is friendly and attentive, exactly what I need when going out for a good time.
Great Food and adult beverages . Great customer service as well. Highly recommended
