Best barbecue in a while.I travel alot and barbecue turkey is my favorite. I walked in towards the end of the night was seated and served promptly with a smile and the food was amazing. The turkey was perfect as well as the sides. The staff were quick and helpful. I will remember to stop in any time im in the area. Thanks for the wonderful experience and the great food.Oh, I almost forgot, I had an appetizer, main course and desert and the bull was under $30. Can't beat that!
Good food. Nice family-friendly casual atmosphere.
Visited with friends. I’ve eaten a lot of bbq in Memphis - this is my favorite! Great food, great service. Love it all, but their brisket is excellent!
Delicious. Great service. Affordable pricing. Fresh and delightful. Waitress was cute too. Hot Tamales could have been a bit spicier, but all in all, a recommendable spot.
I went thru the drive-thru this evening and bought 1 lb of pulled pork. Once home, I found I bought 1 lb of very dry meat most of which was bark too hard to eat a large piece of fatty skin. I called and spoke to a rep who’s response was I’m sorry. Nothing else. I u derby’s d why so many people have told me how bad Commissary is
I’ve been eating BBQ my whole life and I know that good bbq is seasoned well and bbq sauce has a punch. Unfortunately, the bbq at Commissary has neither. I had the brisket (regular sandwich plate) with baked beans and Mac and cheese. I was really disappointed with this meal and basically forced myself to eat it because I was paying for it.The brisket was tender; however, it tasted like charred meat with no seasoning. The slaw lacked flavor, the Mac and cheese was not southern style at all (it was pasta noodles with a ton of box cheese melted above it), the baked beans were straight out of the can with no extra seasoning, the lemon icebox pie was more whipped cream than anything, the strawberry cake was thick and lacked strawberry flavor and the banana pudding was horrible. The best part of todays meal was the pink lemonade.Essentially, this entire meal lacked everything that southern bbq is known for. I’m really disappointed and definitely won’t be back.

Great place to eat bbq would defined recommend eating here.
Visited the Commissary last week with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The food and atmosphere were great. We got barbecue plates, the brisket, and the wings and definitely had enough leftovers for the next day too. Our server Brandy really went the extra mile to make sure we always had everything we needed and she was so pleasant and fun! We will definitely be back!
We got dinner delivered last night. It was so bad. The 4 meat combo (ribs, chicken, & shoulder x2) was all over cooked and dry. The chicken was like sawdust. I had to peel a layer off the ribs to get to an edible part. The shoulder was ok if sauced. There were 2 small rocks masquerading as rolls. The potato salad wasn’t bad and the sausage in the cheese platter was good. They really should be ashamed to send something that bad out the door.
