My husband and I decided to try Old Fort again (after a bad experience in 2018). This time, everything was GREAT! The service has DEFINITELY IMPROVED. The food was yummy! You get a good sized portion of food for your money. We enjoyed it so much on Wednesday this week that we went back on Thursday. We look forward to enjoying many more meals here.
Staff was very friendly. Food came quick. Ordered the pork tenderloin with eggs and hashbrowns. I thought it would be similar to country fried steak. It was not. It was 2 small slices of sautéed pork. I would not order that again. Hashbrowns and eggs were great.
Delicious food and the service is the best. I lost my wallet there on way back home and today I received it in the mail. We will stop again on way to visit family next time. Awesome place!

Excellent food. Friendly staff. It's like being at someone's grandma's home. Lunch portions are smaller sized but it filled me up just the same. I will be going back for breakfast next time.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Literally the WORST experience I have EVER had at a restaurant. My girlfriend and I went in and got our drinks and then sat there for an hour while everyone around us that came in AFTER us got their food first. I left a $5 and we left. I don't appreciate being treated like that. The waitress was an older woman acted as if she didn't even want to take our order or even pay attention to our needs. It was ridiculous! Never going here again!
The service was excellent, lovely family that operates this business. The prices were very good. Delicious pinto beans and mashed potatoes with turnip greens and corn bread. The blackened talipia was also delicious.
Came with 3 adults and 1 child. My mom ordered the club sandwich with fries and tatortots and mozzarella sticks. I ordered chicken and dumplings with baby carrots, broccoli and cheese, and peaches. Husband ordered ham with corn,peaches, and Mac n cheese. Son order veggie plate with broccoli and cheese, carrots, and peaches. We also had a order of fried pickle spears. It took for ever to get our food. My moms bacon on her sandwich was black and really hard. Her tatortots didn’t come out to we were almost done eating. They where cold and gross they also looked like they were fried in oil that had cornmeal in it. My food: chicken and dumplings were absolutely gross. Broccoli and cheese was ice cold. Husbands food was fine. Sons food was fine besides his broccoli and cheese being cold too. We asked to speak to a manager and instead our server came over and asked what we need I told her to speak to a manager and she just took a couple things off the bill and never let us speak to a manager. Service sucked tonight. We have been here before and it has gone down hill a lot.
I spied this place while at a nearby gas station. Quickly checked reviews and liked what I read. We didn’t have much time, but it was worth the stop. Best veggie soup I’ve ever eaten and the banana pudding was to die for! Great staff! This Italian foodie from Ohio gives you 5 *****
I like Old Fort for the atmosphere. It is a fairly quiet place that I can take my granddaughters to and have a nice lunch. The food is pretty good, it could be better but I like to take my granddaughter places that we can actually enjoy and talk they are very young and I get a chance to talk and influence them and that makes me greatly happy
