We absolutely LOVE Cafe Roma! The waitresses are friendly, the red sauce can only be topped by homemade, the portobello ravioli is a favorite and we are very thankful for the vegan menu (you must ask for that). The ambience is excellent as well…quaint, artsy, intimate. We typically dine there when we want to celebrate something…”special occasions”. Lots of others appreciate it as well because it’s frequently busy!
Fantastic food. The fried calamari was the best I’ve ever had, scallops were cooked to perfection, the cheesecake and Tiramisu we’re wonderful. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. We will be back!
This restaurant was a gastronomical delight…we were on our way home from Florida to Canada …next year it will be a stop to look forward to…this chef loves his career..everything prepared by someone in love with food …beautiful presentation..bread made on premises..must be a village behind him or her…attentive staff…very special treat right down to the fresh sunflower on the table!…thank you so much!…
I have to give an extremely honest review of Cafe Roma. I was so excited to have dinner here because of the reviews I read and the pictures. First of all, the staff is wonderful!! However the Sun-dried tomato pollo chicken shrimp “soup” not supposed to be soup entree, was so bland that I didn’t even taste anything. Like I didn’t taste garlic, or herbs, or even salt. I don’t know if they forgot to season my food? I mean I am hoping that is the reason why my water had more flavor than my entree? With that being said, the wonderful bread pudding made up for the bland entree. My husband had the spinach goat cheese lasagna and it was very tasty. I guess we just had a weird experience with my food. I will definitely give Cafe Roma a second try and hopefully there will be more flavor in the next dish that I choose.
Food was so good and service was as well. Quaint little space with great atmosphere. The only negatives are the restaurant is not marked or lit up from the outside so it’s very difficult to locate in the dark and there is no place to park. Ended up having to park several blocks away and then walk back to my car with minimal street lighting.
The food and the service were good and the prices weren't bad. Wish there was a better parking option.
We didn’t have a reservation but they could fit us in on a pretty busy Saturday. The bread is good and the house salad is romaine dressed in a lemon and olive oil and yummy. We had lasagna and angel hair pasta. Took a while to get our food and we were told something had gone awry with our order. Both came afterwards and were very good. They took good care of us and we would definitely go back. Accidents happen and they handled it well!
This place is the real deal, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced an Italian restaurant quite like this place. The food is the BEST, the wine is fairly priced and delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic for dating or just grabbing a bite. If you want a more authentic experience this is the place.
Not our best visit... 2 of 3 of us ordered sweet potato fries...both orders were cold...I ordered the 4 cheese ravioli...I got 5 on a cold plate.. I thought that must have been the lunch portion...as we are leaving the table behind us was getting their food ... "Here's your 4 cheese ravioli". To my surprise his plate was loaded with ravioli...10-15... You've got to do better
We love Cafe Roma for a quick appetizer, a nice date dinner, and even a casual lunch with friends!
