To start, the taco whether it be soft or crunchy is amazing as it should be it’s in the name , However after day 2 I decided to give 3 stars because the burrito was horrible and old tortilla was cracking as well. The horchata is brown and nasty. The other drink tubs are not filled with what they say they are. The tea was very good not too sweet not too strong. The tacos are probably the best I’ve ever had and the salsa has 4 open bar to choose from and is fresh. The tacos are fairly priced due to inflation but most other items are very expensive. They do have some military options and discounts so that’s a huge plus, but they TAKE ALL THAT BACK AND MORE WITH ALMOST A 3-4% Card fee. They also make the big bucks by the add ins you want, for example you don’t want a plain taco so you add sour cream BOOM that’s 60 cents off the rip then you want others it adds up quick. The banana cheesecake slice was old and nasty the banana was dried out to be hard. No expiration dates. The space in the building is good it’s not too close to each other. The reason this has 3 stars instead of 2 is because the tacos and fresh drinks and tacos as well as the salsa. THE WORKER PUT THE FOOD THAT WAS GOING TO THE BACK ROOM ON THE TRASH CAN AND THEN SERVED IT ??♂️??? that’s not okay to do. The place is pretty clean other than that though. Some language barriers for trying to get your food may be an issue especially if you want a cup from the other side of the counter you need to point and just say “cup cup cup”I understand this though so I recommend coming once as mistakes can be fixed and no business is perfect.I will update this if it gets better
i ordered a chicken taco salad.the chicken was hard, translucent, rubbery bits and pieces that tasted nothing like chicken.my taco shell eas greasy..salad was dry...ill never order from here again..
food was mediocre, and service was lousy. manager was extremely rude.
Always order the same burrito and usually very very good. Tonight, it was made completely different. Asked for queso on the inside of the burrito and extra cilantro. Neither one happened. The burrito was very dry due to no queso
The food is great, but you probably won't get your full order. We have loved this place, but the last two times we've come, we haven't gotten our full order. The cashier read our full order back to us before we paid. When we went to pick the order up, we were missing two items. We had to reorder and pay again to get what we ordered the first time...which means that we also had to pay an additional processing fee.I can't say that I'm going to be back after this experience considering this isn't the first time this has happened to us. When we asked the cashier about this, he treated it as a non event. I'm not sure if it's human or technology error, but someone needs to fix this problem.
I ordered my food around 6:05. They said it would be ready around 6:15. I had something personal come up, which is why I didn’t pick up my food until 6:50. The workers had the nerve to tell me that next time don’t take to long coming to the place. I won’t be ordering here anymore, my orders have always been wrong anyways the past times I’ve ordered.
I'm critical and very picky. Not to mention being pregnant has made me overtly cautious with my nose of all the foods I used to love.I have lived in California and must say these are legit the closest authentic tacos to the ones in California that I have had here - near base.Their name does justice to the place and If your passing by stop on in!Not only was customer service taken seriously by the man at the counter tonight (English speaking fellow), but the workers take your orders seriously, make them correctly and with love. Shout out to the cooks seriously.I built my tacos from scratch as you are allowed to.I chose to try 4 of their CORN soft tacos with pulled pork (cooked all the way but not dry and the meat was flavorful) with fresh cilantro, fresh cabbage, onions, cheese (wish they had white crumble cheese ) with green salsa (good heat and flavor) and limes .It sent me back to my best friends kitchen in California who made the best carnitas pulled pork tacos for me. When I said I was from Kentucky and liked mexican food; She laughed and she made me REAL authentic mexican food- that her grandmother taught her and honest to God it is hard finding anything similar out here.I think it always depends on the staff, the front counter man and the food they make is what really stood out to me with todays night shift. It wasn't super busy and this was my first time here. However, I highly highly recommend you give them a try. I wish they were more affordable but, for the place it sent me while eating it- I'd pay it again. I had to stop eating and immediately write a review. This place was also spotless and smelled like lemons coming in -which I appreciated with how sensitive my pregnancy nose currently.
I ordered the taco salad this time with no rice asked to substitute with beans, it was the best salad I have had. I will definitely be getting it again. We normally get the shrimp burrito, my husband said as always it was delicious.
I got the carne asada (steak) soft corn tortilla tacos in the original. Flavor of the meat is really good, and the combination of the Cilantro and onions just adds to the flavor profile. The food was fresh, and hot and I have no complaints on the flavor or the quality of the food.Only issue I have, is we are in 2021 where EVERYONE uses a card, they charge like 3.5% extra if you use a card. I get how all of that works, they have to pay a fee to be able to swipe cards, so they extend that on to the customer, however very few places actually pass it on to customers. All in all I give 4 stars because like I said, the food is great, but not a fan of the nickel and dime of the fees. I will probably be back here regardless.
Always on point. California burrito is what I always get with the medium salsa. Highly recommend.
