We have ate in once and did take out several times.Shrimp, snow crab, dungeness crab, and crawfish have been tried. And we tried some of their "something fried" food. The "something fried" food was disappointing and we would not consider it after trying it once. However, the place really shines with the things like the shrimp, crab, etc that you pick your seasoning type and if/how hot you want it.You get a few potatoes and corn with the bagged food from the combo/get your hands dirty areas of menu which tastes good and cooked well. The seasoning has been pretty much the same every time except it was very mild instead of medium when we ate in and a little hotter during one of our take-outs. But overall it has been consistent. They server was good when we ate in, the person that takes the order for take-out has been good as well. Once the order is made for take-out it only takes about 10 minutes for it to be ready which is good.Definitely recommend them.
Usually the food is decent. But my lobster tail was cooked to mush 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago my family member tried it and had nausea & diarrhea. I ordered a $50 combo last night and had full on food poisoning. Go to Storming Crab or make it at home if you can. You HAVE to be careful with seafood.
We stopped to visit friends in the area and being one of their favorite places to eat they brought us to eat. Two thumbs up for us as well! Staff was friendly and food was AMAZING!!! There was 4 of us and we ordered the happy foursome.
Food was great but have to admit the customer service was not to the usual standard. I will still give 5 stars but customer service has to be priority because that's what definitely keeps the customers coming back along with great food.
Excellent experience, friendly staff, clean restaurant. Seafood is awesome, had crab and lobster. Definitely will return.
I absolutely love seafood. I've eaten seafood all over the east coast and NEVER have I been served a plastic bag of food on a serving plate. Seafood is supposed to be steamed in a steam pot. I've never seen a restaurant cook their food in a plastic bag before and I found it to be extremely unappealing. I refused to eat it. I pushed it to the side where it sat the entire time. I didn't even open the bag. The waiter was nice but never even asked if there was something wrong with my food that sat unopened. He just brought the bill. Almost 70.00 for 2 meals one of which didn't get touched. Never again. I will drive to Joe's Crabshack where I don't have to look at walls covered in quite a bit of vulgarity (so tacky) and my meal is not cooked in a bag and it is served in an aesthetically pleasing manner. It might be more common now, but in my book handing me a plastic bag on a serving plate is not acceptable. No restaurant I've ever been to cooked their seafood in a plastic bag and I never even knew anyplace did. I won't ever be back. I can't say whether my food was good as it went in the garbage but my lunch companion said it was good however overcooked.
Jumbo crab always has phenomenal food and service. Their seafood is top tier, and I've enjoyed every time I've eaten here. The only complaint I have is how hot the appetizers are when they comes out. They're beyond scalding, so just make sure to wait before eating them.
My wife and I ate here for our date night. I had the fried catfish basket with fries and she had mussels, shrimp, and crab legs. The catfish was amazing. It had a Cajun taste to it. My wife dittos my comments. Great food and atmosphere! Our waiter was exceptional also. Thanks again John!
The service is phenomenal. Been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The food is always amazing and atmosphere and esthetic really makes the whole experience pop!
