Very eficient service
Tonight we went and I have never experienced such terrible service not waitress related. We waited almost an hour for food then when we got our food the rice was so dark in color I thought it had been dropped. We only got 1/4 cup of vegetables, asked for more which by the way waited another hour never came. The owner sat at the bar and drank. Everyone kept saying we are short of staff … then close down don’t sit people who want to eat. I have been going here for years it has never been this bad
Went with my friends and family. Said they had it before and was really good. Service was excellent. Her name is Daisy and she did a wonderful job of making sure we had everything we needed. Wish I can say the same about the food. Too salty for my taste. Family said they must was having a off night because the food was bad for them too and they had better food here before. Maybe I'll reluctantly give them another try.
While the food was very good & the preparation was entertaining, the wait time was ridiculous.We were told it would be 30 minute wait. That turned into over an hour & then it was a 45 minute wait, at the table, to get the soup & salad. Also it took 20 minutes to get our drink orders.We arrived at 6pm & left at around 9:30 pm.
Staff and manager are unremotsefully inadequate. After arriving we were told our wait would be 30 minutes because we were a party of 2 and they would seat us with others. An hour later I asked him long, hostess said 30 more minutes. I waited then asked to speak to the manager at which the hostess asks a lady if she is the manager. The manager said we had 2 or 3 people in front of us and it would be about 30 minutes. I believe that because we were a party of 2 and they couldn't charge the gratuity for 6 person party that we kept getting pushed further down the list. This is discrimination by numbers!
If I could give less than a star; I would. The host stand was completely confused and untrained along with a big sign on the front stating that parties of 6 or more would have automatic gratituity in the hibachi area. Being only a party of 2, we were told that we would wait 30 mins or less and that we would be added on to a party. 45 minutes later, we were told to wait 20 more minutes. After seeing 4 more parties pass us and no one else waiting in the lobby or the hosts even looking in our direction. It was clear that they had no intention to seat us. We asked to speak to a manager, to which even the host were confused to who that was. An extremely rude woman then proceeded to tell us that we were still behind 3 other parties and that we need to wait another 30 minutes. I should have listened to the Facebook post. Never coming back!!!
This place is just plain awful! From service to food... Just don't waste your money. Three of us in our party and I ordered hot green tea. It came out in a lovely tea pot that was ice cold and disgusting. My daughter ordered teriyaki chicken.... We had our food 25 minutes before she got hers... We stopped the waitress twice too ask for it... Finally it came, no apologies for it being so long..... Nothing... This was just wasted money all around!!! And I will never do it again,!!! Honestly it doesn't even deserve the one star!!
I have always had a great experience at Hananoki. No one has ever been rude and the food is delicious at the Habachi or the restaurant area. If you go on a Saturday night with no reservations, you might have to wait. Enjoy the bar.
Our server was also preparing some of the food that wasn't cooked directly in front of us. Service was a bit slow for how busy it wasn't at the time. (Lack of employment) but who isn't at this point. My wife and I have been to various hibachi restaurants so this rating is based on the experience combined with the other establishments. Yes I would go back.
Called ahead and was told there was an hour wait. No problem, headed up and put our name on the list. Sat in the bar for sushi and a drink while waiting. The bar staff was pleasant. Was told our sushi may not be ready before our table was. The sushi did actually arrive before we were seated and was very good.. So, had a few drinks (which were very weak) and some other people came in with the same amount in their groups as we had, just 2. 3 other groups of 2 people that came in after us were all seated before we were. We ended up waiting 2 hours to be seated. While at the bar, a member of the wait staff was overheard saying that the Hostesses were known to pick and chose who to seat first. When we were finally seated, the cooked asked how long we waited and when we said 2 hours he laughed and said next weekend will be 3 hours.We have dined here many times over many years and the food is always delicious. However, tonight it was not. The flavor was bland, at best. Disappointing all around.
