Our meal was great today and our waitress was excellent. My only, not complaint but question, was on seating. The hostess was seating single patrons at tables for 4, so they were the only person there at that table, then with plenty of tables open she seated my husband and myself at a very small table for just 2. It was kind of strange. I noticed at least 3 tables that could hold 4 people with only 1 person at them. Other than that, our food and service was very good.
Had great service by Ashley this morning! The bathrooms were clean. This is exactly what you'd expect from any Cracker Barrel. Good southern food, good service, fun shopping while you wait on a table. There were just 2 of us this morning and went right to our table. The coffee was always hot and filled. It's worth noting that the sausage gravy and hashbrown casserole were both better this time than the last time I visited this particular restaurant. Also... I tried the biscuit beignets with the butter pecan dipping sauce this morning, it's yummy!!
We stopped by Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast / early lunch today. My eggs and sausage were good and as expected. The grits were sitting in the dish too long and developed some solid chunks. The sausage gravy and biscuits were fine. My wife’s chick fried steak was a big disappointment. The gravy was the same as was served with my biscuit…sausage gravy, not traditional white gravy. The meat was NOT steak but hamburger meat. Name of dish clearly mislead us to believe this was to be steak, not hamburger. This with the sausage gravy made for a very bad dish. I’d recommend Cracker Barrel but stick to very clear selections that are hard to screw up.
Awesome place and great service. But food was not as great as it was before...
The server was awful the food came out late and not together.
Good food, great service nice gift shop.
The server was very attentive and polite. Eggs were slightly cool and the french toast didn't have any flavor. The syrup also did not have flavor all I could taste was sweet. Their thick sliced bacon was more like standard cut. Price was within reason.
Ordered our food online, fairly easy process. We ordered three meals with one have a “Special Request” comment. Order was set to pick up at 7:15pm.I arrived to pick up my order precisely at 7:15, was told it wasn’t ready yet. I walked around the gift shop, trying to stay out of the other customers way. I walked back up to the counter 15 minutes later to notice my order sitting on the shelf. I asked if I could have my order and immediately left to go home.Unfortunately, the steak dinner was over cooked, we ordered medium rare. Did not get the salad dressing for our salad, the “special request” for extra ranch was not in our bag and all three dinners were room temperature. I live 7 minutes from the restaurant, this is not okay!
Our wait was even shorter than we were told it would be and the food met our expectations. I would also add that our waitress was very good. What I cannot understand though is how on a Sunday at noon you are out of “fried chicken, chicken strips AND chicken and dumplings”?! How does that even happen? Also - when we were ready for desert they had NONE. No Coca Cola cake nor peach cobbler which was all that was on the Sunday Menu. Luckily we snagged a Hershey Bar in the gift shop to satisfy that craving. I love Cracker Barrel, but I will not be back to this particular one.
45 min wait to be seated with tons of open tables at 3:30 on a Sunday(and 40° out). We had a group of 11 with 7 being kids, we did not wait. We were told staff was low, ok but I can't keep that many kids happy and entertained and not getting into everything in the store. If we had been told that our wait for service might suffer that is expected, but to not seat us was unacceptable. We opted to find another place to eat unfortunately.
