Best Burger in Chattanooga. The jalapeno jack burger is my personal favorite. The place can get very busy at peak hours, so expect a crowded bar environment.
Awesome burger and great atmosphere. Burger was cooked at a perfect temp. Tots were also great. Definitely will be going back here next time I’m in town. Highly recommend
"Funky little shack"...the B-52s must have been taking about Tremont! Eclectic and vibrant. An excellent experience. The burgers were delicious and the selection of craft beers is stunning! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and the service was great!!! Try the Gouda Burger, you won't be disappointed! Will definitely go back the next time I'm in town.
The best hamburger in Chattanooga, period. Great sandwiches and salads also. Unique monthly specials. Enormous beer selection. Old-fashioned tavern atmosphere and friendly service. Parking can be an issue. Overall a wonderful experience.
The burgers, fries and tater tots are great! I’ve tried every burger on the menu and never had a bad one. I also enjoy the chicken tenders they’re the best chicken tenders you can get. Other specialty items I’ve ordered have also been great! This is one of the best places to visit in the North Shore area and a must to visit! Not just a bar and there are kids allowed. They also have some arcade games available to play as well!
After years and years I finally made it here. And man, what a place! Excellent beer, burgers, and bartenders. I already can’t wait to go back asap. If you haven’t had the Edamole dip, get it- PERIOD!
We have always heard Tremont Tavern has the best burgers in Chattanooga so we decided to see how good they really are. We started with mozzarella triangles for an appetizer. They were ok but it seemed like they may have been cooked too long or too hot and lost some of the cheese. I ordered the Tremont Burger with cheese and bacon and steak fries. The burger was of good size but I honestly can’t say how it rated as a burger because it had so much mustard on it that I couldn’t taste anything else. It should have been called a mustard sandwich instead of a burger. The fries were not what I would call steak fries but they had a crispy coating and a good flavor. One additional note, the parking was terrible! The restaurant next door was so packed with patrons that the small parking lot was full and all of the street parking was taken for quite a distance from the establishment.
Place was always packed when I'd try to go. Not a inch of room anywhere. Had to go hardcore and get their 30 seconds after they opened just to get food. But dang was it worth it! I'd say they have a real good argument for beat burger in town. The atmosphere is setup for mostly watching the game or having a cold one with the boys, and it's a spot you'd find yourself sitting in for hours on end.
Visiting from Minnesota and looking for a place in Chattanooga that had a large beer selection. We visited here on a Monday which a lot of locations were closed. We found Tremont Tavern and we’re not disappointed. Excellent beer selections both draft and bottle and excellent menu. The staff are amazing and the vibe was that of a very local hometown bar with a lot of character. Absolutely loved this place. Nowhere else that we went to after this place in Chattanooga could match it!!
I’ve been hearing such amazing things about this place from multiple other Chattanoogans and my first experience did not disappoint!! Love the atmosphere in there, staff are friendly and other patrons at the bar are chatty and relaxed. They have a fantastic beer selection and the food was awesome! I loved the Buffalo chicken tenders (maybe better than champys!) and their jalapeño Jack burger with the tots was super tasty. Prices were very reasonable, I can’t wait to come back and have the chicken tenders again and to try a different burger.
