Eclectic restaurant on the UTC campus . Very large area, with varying types of decor , actually very well done . Our sandwiches were good ( mine needed mustard ) , but it took an hour to get our food . When we talked to a staff member as we were leaving , they said they were very short staffed . For the most part, staff was quite friendly . Would go again sometime , hoping the service would be quicker .
Decor is Tolkien-esque and there’s a very strange but calming atmosphere inside which I have never experienced before. Coming from the North of England we don’t have anything like this and it was a truly unique experience. The food was good and you could tell a lot of effort went into its ingredients and preparation. Chilli could have done with more kick but nothing a little tobacco (available) can’t fix! Overall an enchanting place.
The food, service, atmosphere and environment are wonderful!Adding this to a short list of must-enjoy-more-often!
Amazing little spot. I went to a local yoga spot and the owner recommended me this spot for lunch. So grateful to have found it. I had the mango maté and veggie burger. SO good l, both of them!!
The Yellow Deli is a must if you are in Chattanooga especially if you are visiting UTC since it is on campus .. the decorations are fun, the food is homemade and everything tastes fantastic .. the staff is very friendly and we always make a point to go there whenever we are in town visiting our son and his fiancée
Amazing, healthy, delicious food in a beautiful setting . The whole restaurant is hand crafted and alive with plants. The food is spectacular form the salads to the sandwiches, soup and desert.A very special experience and probably my best meal out in Chattanooga.
Overall: outstanding! The food was fantastic, scratch and highly flavorful recipes, fresh, original, nutritious, and very reasonably priced. Also, clean bathrooms, great service, quaint ambiance. One of my biggest complaints for restaurants these days is overpriced, bland food. Not the case here. The only thing I wish was that there were more yellow deli locations! Please add a location in Nashville!!! Regardless, I will definitely be back.
My girlfriend found out about this place through a podcast and let's be honest here, we went out of curiosity. I am so glad we did. We traveled out of our way back from vacation to stop in and it was worth it. We had dinner there, stayed the night in Chattanooga, and went back for breakfast the next morning. Absolutely incredible. We ended up buying some of their homemade products to take back with us. I HIGHLY recommend the Ol' Saint Joe for your coffee choice. The chef salad looked like they have an artist in the kitchen placing each piece of mixed green, turkey, cheese, olive, and each veggie in a certain spot to create a colorful masterpiece in a bowl. For those wondering about the folks that own and run the place, all I can say is.... to me they seem like good folks to me. They work hard to serve amazing food and don't seem to be bothering anyone. The information is out there if you choose to look at it but if you don't so be it. Everyone had a smile on their face and when we left, so did we. Give it a try.
We had a great lunch here following a hike. The decor on the inside and outside is precious and very well done. We really enjoyed the sandwiches and chili we ordered, the soup of the day was a vegetable minestrone and was delicious too. We’re from colorado and were really excited to learn that they also have locations in Manitou Springs and Boulder CO! Thanks again!
It is an essential stop for anyone in the area. Great, tasty food and nice ambiance. ?
