This place has such a great vibe. All the staff members are update and have each other’s back. I had a problem with my meal and the manager brought out my replacement, confirmed my issue and made it right, all the while making it a positive experience. Arguably, I had the best salmon ever including those I’ve had from Seattle to Maine. It was a meal that I couldn’t stop talking about. I typically get their lunch fried chicken breast, but now my new typical is going to be the salmon. But, I did suggest to mom to try the chicken breast. She was apprehensive, as we both a dark meat people. The reason is the breast anywhere is usually over cooked and taught. But PH soaks theirs in tea for two days, hence, resulting in a flavorful, juicy and tender serving. She loved it. PH also has awesome sides, warm beats with goat cheese, braised cabbage and several others. A huge disappointment is that the fried okra is no longer a side option for a meal. However, separately, you can order it as a dish.

All I can say is Wow. I will make it a point to come here every time we visit. Dillon was an exceptionally pleasant and overall awesome guy! We laughed so much and enjoyed our time (2hr) there immensely! We stumbled upon it while shopping and had two amazing cocktails, deviled eggs, and the thai chicken. ALL AMAZING! I honestly would have eaten anything off of their menu. A must try place!

Great whiskey selection, Glencairns available, and the food was stellar. The service was very attentive despite being busy. My only complaint is their bar set up makes it hard to see the bottles which aren’t on the menu (i.e. they had some Boone County products but you’d have to ask for information about which bottle and the price).

Came in for the first time today for a happy hour lunch and sat at the bar. There was no one at the bar when we sat down and one 2 top. Took 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged and handed the wrong menus - had to go find the right one - and another 5 minutes for waters to be dropped In this time a man, a regular I would assume, sat at the bar. The bartender was serving the table and making their drinks. I told my fiancé we’d let her drop the drinks and see if she took our order before just walking out, having already waited 10 minutes. After dropping the drinks, the bartender went and greeted the regular by name and started taking his order. My fiancé and I walked out after this. I understand being busy. We were barely acknowledged from the time of walking through the door, not even a “welcome in”from secondary staff polishing glassware. I’ve spent my adult life working in service, and specifically 2 years in fine dining. You always acknowledge the guest, you always take orders in the order of who entered the restaurant. My fiancé was really excited for us to go, saying the food and drinks are great. Really disappointing first impression of a restaurant you’ve heard good things about. Hopefully it’ll be better next time I try it.

Excellent cocktails and good food.

The staffs are too accommodating and makes sure you get the service according to your standards and very cortouse. Big hands up to Emilia and Abdulla. We had a good time overall and I recommend this place is a must to visit and try.

Julia at the Public House made sure our lunch was most memorable. Having exhausted ourselves at the Aquarium (well worth it) we had taken the free shuttle north to eat lunch here. A Caipirinha and a juicy mocktail set us up for the Pot Roast with asparagus and peas with spring onions. Several sides to choose from. The meat was tender and tasty with some red wine sauce and was everything the previous Trip Advisor reviewer described. The vegetables were also excellent. We often split a dessert but not this time - Key Lime Pie!! Be warned - if ever we should have split dessert, it was this time. We each ate the largest portion we have ever had served to us. Very ‘fresh lime’ flavor and smooth dreamy creaminess. We waddled out of there with big smiles, a tab that surprised us as ex-New Yorkers, and took a shuttle south back to our car at the Aquarium. It appeared instantly as if it was a scheduled limousine.

The food was amazing. The service was excellent. The pot roast was my choice and I would order it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The rest of the table enjoyed there dinner with shrimp and grits, soups, fried chicken, and burgers. Everything was great.

This was a lovely dining experience. Started with some fun and innovative cocktails. The House Salad was large and extremely good - probably the star of the meal for me. There is a vegetarian meal-sized Quinoa Salad on the menu, but I opted for the "4 sides" plate. The menu clearly labeled which sides were NOT vegetarian - a nice touch, and indicative of the attention to detail we found here. Our server paced the meal perfectly, and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert. Would definitely eat here again!

Thoroughly enjoyed this really casual mid-range restaurant with excellent menu offering freshly prepared, high quality local ingredients. We loved everything we got each evening...trying a number of different things.
