I came here a few weeks ago while doing one of my weekly trips to Atlanta. I loved it so much I wanted to come back. We sat down with 2 hours until closing, ordered drinks, and then was informed the kitchen was closed. At least it’s not the pickle barrel. Left the honest pint and went there and they wouldn’t even let us in. Bunch of pickle heads.
Awful experience. The waitress was absolutely rude and looked at us like we were nuts for asking basic questions on the menu. The food was disgusting. I'm not sure how you can manage to mess up deep frying chicken fingers, but they sure found a way.I get we all have bad days, but this was my first time here and my friend was too shy or uncomfortable to speak up about the bad service. I still tipped generously, but I'll never recommend friends or family go here.
Feels like a proper bar inside and out, though the tiny, buoyant, plastic shot glasses are disappointing. Especially so for Irish carbombs and other drinks that require the shot to sink. Proper glassware would be a nice upgrade. The awesome, friendly staff members mostly make up for it. Top notch service.
We went for St. Patrick's Day - which wasn't the best choice for wanting a sit down dinner with friends who were visiting. The music was fabulous. Other times that we went, everything was great! St. Patrick's Day was obviously standing room only, so it wasn't a great fit for us. The staff that helped with cover charges and everything was very helpful.
Great place to chill with drinks and play pool. Seems like it could be crazy at night (must be 21 to enter after 10pm.) But it was pretty easy going on Sunday at 8. Fried pickles were crunchy and delicious.
We decided to give them a try prior to a concert because of their proximity to Memorial Theatre, just two blocks. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was just right for our party to enjoy the authentic pub feel and to be able to enjoy having conversations within our party.
Beautiful old building in good shape. Wide beer selection. Lots of games, pool darts etc but food was a C. Other than the dressing the salad was institutional. Had the dip sandwich and I cannot recommend it.
Not usually a huge fan of this spot, but had a great experience with great service there the other night. The recent construction over there seems to have slowed their business down a good deal. Our server Paul was awesome! 100% worth stopping by on a weekday for a game of pool and some drinks. Could use a little fixing up and deep cleaning here and there.
We arrived late one night and needed to find a place to eat. This was what we found. It was a pretty good dining experience. Standard bar fair can be found here. The building is old and has beautiful architecture. I hear they do drag shows and this definitely is LGBTQ friendly. The place does have a bit of a musty smell and could use an airing out.
The customer service is terrible here and the bathrooms are disgusting! They completely ran out of toilet paper in all the men’s bathrooms before 11pm . Not impressed by the place at all! I don’t care how cheap the drinks are this place was a joke! They really need to step their game up and hire more people to serve more drinks for their customers and they need to do a better job of cleaning up their bathrooms and graffiti issues and making sure that all the stalls have plenty of paper towels and toilet paper and that are constantly cleaned throughout the day and night! What I saw was completely unacceptable and I will not be coming back!
