Highly disappointed. Food was bland and overpriced. They give you complementary chips that have no taste, and you have to pay for the salsa (it’s not complementary for some reason). The pupusas are abysmal. The lengua tacos and carne asada tacos have barely any flavor. The only good tacos were al pastor. Unfortunately cannot recommend this place
This is my new favorite taco shop in Chattanooga, TN, right here. Why ? The corn tortilla that are doubled up have butter on them. They are big fluffy buttery tacos right here. Yummy! This is a mom-and-pop restaurant with a limited eating area but is so worth the time.I spoke with my server that was from Guatemala, and she was very helpful with my gluten allergy. She made sure they had no cross-contamination for me.I tried three tacos, which I was so stuffed after.1. Beans and cheese2. Beans, fried eggs, and sauce3. Avocado tacoThey were all super yummy and loved every bite.I have done reviews for a living the last 3 years, with over 78 million hits while traveling our wonderful nation to find this gem right in my hometown.I am going to address some of the negative reviews right now. The cost of this meal was very reasonable and cheap too me for the quality / quantity given. How someone can complain about small portions here is beyond me. No, this is not an open buffet type of place, but I was stuffed with 3 tacos with beans / rice. I wanted dessert but wouldn't make it out the door. I will have to come back to try the desserts. This is a great meal and place to visit right on the main street in North Shore. I love seeing businesses thriving in this day and age because I have seen a lot of great business close the last 3 years across this country because of covid. So go out and support business like this one and stop complaining when you're comparing buffet servings to good quality healthy foods for a McDonald's price. You pay for what you get here.Peace out, be safe, everyoneYou will see this restaurant on my youtube channel soon.
It was fine. Not great service, slow and not friendly. Tiny. Queso was very good and chips fresh. Otherwise, wouldn't go back.
An outstanding little place to get your taco fix. The salsa is AMAZING!
Amazingly authentic tacos! I had the chorizo taco and the chicken taco both had red onions and cilantro on a corn tortilla and it was delicious! My son had the beef tongue and el pastor taco and said they were amazing. I was surprised he ordered beef tongue with only being 12 but he loved it!!! We highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!!
Grande Quesadilla “stuffed” with filling and steak was not a reality. The steak pieces were chopped into tiny tiny pieces with not enough cheese or meat. Plain Jane
Amazing tacos! Everything tasted very fresh, including the made to order guac and fresh tortilla chips. The range of tacos and other items you can order is wide enough for everyone to be satisfied - chicken, pork, lengua, beef, fish, even vegetarian friendly including grilled cactus, which was delicious! Definitely will be back.
I don't know how you do mexican food poorly, but they figured it out. They even left out an order of our churros. I got sopes, they were flavorless and the asada was super gristly.. so so underwhelming. Please do yourself a favor and get mezcla across the street, where the food is actually made with pride and the churros are the best in the state. I will repress this experience, I may have lingering trauma as a result.
The food was absolutely to die for. My poblano tacos were the best tacos I have had in a long time!!! My al pastor taco was also perfect!! And they are not stingy with the portions either!!! I can’t wait to go again and try some other tacos.
This was our first time at Taconooga. Everything we ordered was fantastic! We're already planning our return trip.
