The food was good but I was a bit unprepared going in there based on previous comments. I went off the comments because there is no online menu or website to check. There is no toppings bar like I've seen in previous comments. There is a small salsa bar though. The menu is a bit confusing with around 40 options to choose from with no toppings listed so customization is difficult. The food was good, but not good enough to go back without some menu clarity and price transparency.
This is our second time here and are super impressed, even more so than the first time. #20, their street tacos, are to die for. An awesome family business with good quality food and good prices. Highly recommended.
Taco Roc was once a great place to eatSince the new owners bought the place it's slowly been going down hill. Went in Wednesday the 13th, ordered 4 tacos and a taco salad, both with lengua, they charged me $6 extra for the lengua on the tacos and $3 extra on the taco salad, I've never seen this up charge in the past.The lengua was hard and crunchy, worst I've ever had from here, will never be back$32 for four tacos and one taco salad
Overall, my first experience here was just okay. I ordered the steak soft tacos platter and it came with the traditional rice and beans. I've eaten at countless Mexican restaurants over the years and have never had spicy rice and beans. And not just a little heat, spicy as in not enjoyable and couldn't eat them. I was also not impressed with the salsa bar being located by the front door, meaning all the dust and debris from highway grime settles in on it every time someone opens the door. Not to mention that cannot be good for temperature regulation.
I am so glad a friend told me about this restaurant. The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the prices were more than reasonable. If you want authentic Mexican food don't pass this place up, you will love it.
Definitely love the variety of plates and a pic to help you decide. Really liked it. Will have to go back to taste more. So far what we have had has been good. The kids chicken bites were not to their liking...too dry. The other 2 dishes were not bad. Kids helped us eat ours and they liked it. Will definitely go back to try something new

Delicious and flavorful Real Mexican food. I think this is the only place in Chattanooga that offers Delicious Real Mexican food. Plus they have a salsa bar! My only complaint is the inside. Needs new seats, tables and decor. Other than that, it's fabulous. Carne aside Street tacos are to die for ❤
Grandson and I ordered a taco meal and a burrito meal. The cooked fillings were good the corn shells were not. Hard to cut even with a knife. The killer was the charges:. Salsa $1.25. Chips $.99, Water $.25. Ordered cheese dip ($4.50) charged $.99 to pour some of it over the tacos. Topped it off with a charge of $.99 to use my debit card. First and last visit for us..
One of the best authentic Mexican restaurant around, highly recommended to anyone that. When in the area I always stop.
