Had breakfast there today. Food was incredible as usual. Tried the coffee cake for the first time. It was amazing. Probably the best I've ever eaten.
I went for the first time recently and it was delicious! I had one of the A Super B.S.’s and it was amazing. It was a massive breakfast sandwich loaded with deliciousness. I had a specialty latte too they offered that was an iced blueberry/basil that was very good and refreshing. The wait time for a table for my friend and I was about and hour but I’ll definitely be returning. The wait was worth it.
The food was great and the atmosphere even better, however the wait was LONG. Of course we did make the mistake of trying to go for Sunday Brunch, so we should have expected a long wait, but it was a really long wait. But the food and drinks and everything else more than made up for it. We really enjoyed our brunch and so did everyone else— there’s a reason for the wait!! I haven’t had the chance to eat here on a less busy day, but I plan to!
Went for breakfast on last day in city. It’s actually located inside a Marriott affiliated hotel. The hotel seems to be eclectic and the front desk manager was pretty opinionated which I would have avoided the restaurant knowing we would have to deal with his comments. (We waited for our table I guess on the hotel side of the seating area which he did not like and made a comment, then he disapproved of me saying it was a Marriott hotel to my son as we walked towards the bathroom as you have to use the hotel bathroom as he said it’s “affiliated”) as far as the restaurant it was just above average as you hope for breakfast places like this to be better. The cinnamon roll pancakes missed the mark. But the reviews were great so find out for yourself.
We were on vacation and wanted to try local venues. We stopped at Syrup and Eggs, got on the wait list, waited for almost an hour only to find out our name had been skipped. Finally got seated and ordered coffee. No coffee. Waited 15 minutes and still no coffee. Oh, and they were sold out of burgers. The server disappeared....again. So we left a note on the paper napkin and left. We didn't even get to try any over-priced food, but if the service is any indication, we wouldn't have liked it anyway. Save your money and time and go to Wally's instead. They have super friendly staff, reasonable prices, and amazing food.
My wife and I had a late breakfast in June 2022 at Syrup and Eggs. Great service, great atmosphere, outdoor seating. My wife had "the best grits" she has ever had, and the Less B.s (Biscuit Sandwich) was delightful. Good value!
The breakfast was excellent. It was fulfilling for most of the day. We sat out on the veranda and just enjoyed the morning. Biscuits were delicious
I was surprised when we walked in and we were seated by the owner who gave a great welcome......to then sit 10 mins before getting the coffee we ordered and then waited again for our waitress to return and take our order. We were told more times then should have that they just got a large table. I understand busy! What I don't get is leaving us sit there almost 40 minutes with empty coffee mugs and no communication; Customer Service was seriously lacking! Now....with that being said, once food arrived it was yummy. But it wasn't so good that I'd return for that level of customer service!?
Syrup and Eggs is a wonderful Brunch and Cocktail restaurant! My husband and I dined both days we were in Chattanooga in April. The food is creative, attractively plated, and delicious. We highly recommend the Blue Cornmeal “Taco” Pancakes and Strawberry Pancakes and bacon. Our Server and the Bar Manager, Meagan is impressively exceptional in customer service and is an impressive Bartender (Mixologist is more accurate). The cocktails were attractive and flavorsome (recommend the Bloody Mary). Later in the day, we had the opportunity to meet the Owner and Chef, Ms. Ocia. Gracious and kind! We were staying at The Dwell Hotel, a lovely boutique hotel. One of the benefits was dining at Syrup and Eggs with a reservation and avoiding a one-and-a-half-hour wait (although the wait would be worthwhile). We highly recommend Syrup and Eggs. It promises an excellent and pleasurable dining experience.
All I can say is WOW! Great brentwood. Wonderful coffee choices. You can eat light or dig in. Get here early as seating can get busy. Very relaxing. Great food and service.
