We love Sushi City! We have been there at least seven times (maybe more) since it opened. That is where my mother wants to go for a family dinner for her 94th birthday coming up soon. We love the food and the fact that you can order all-you-want or just from the menu. Even the non-sushi people can find a good selection for their tastes. (Our grandson is a very picky eater, and even he has found a couple dishes he likes there.)
While in search of a recommendation for a good sushi restaurant somewhere, we discovered a great sushi restaurant on Lee Hwy appropriately called Sushi City! As you can see in the pics what looks good also taste good! Definitely a revisit in the very near future!
Sushi City is a cook-to-order, all-you-can-eat restaurant with some amazing choices. My favorite appetizer dish was the beef yakitori!Be warned that certain dishes have large portions; be ready to eat!
This was my first time eating here. We had a group of 7 that went for lunch (at 12 on a Tuesday) to welcome a co-worker back from Army National Guard training. It was kinda busy. I'd say at least 3/4 of the way full. We got seated pretty quickly. Our waitress visited our table shortly after being seated. She was very friendly (I wish I could remember her name; younger with blonde curly hair) and helpful in explaining the all you can eat to those of us that hadn't been there before. Most everyone ordered sushi. It came out in a timely manner considering they was busy and there was only two people working the sushi area. I ordered three rolls: pink lady, samuria, and spider. The spider was my favorite. The samurai was really good too. I liked the pink lady (loved the wrapper), but I wasn't a fan of all the softness with no crunch. It was just moosh when you ate it. It says contains cucumbers, but I don't think it actually had any in it. With some crunch it would be perfect, again IMO. Everyone else liked their food too. I heard no complaints from anyone. All of the seafood was really fresh. The only issue we had was what I believe to be a forgotten order. One of the people in the group ordered first and ordered a lunch bento box. Over an hour later she still hadn't received it and was told it was because the kitchen was backed up. She ended up just having them box it up as we was leaving to take back to work with her. She didn't even get the sushi roll that came with it when everyone else got their sushi. It only makes sense that her order was never put in. I'm pretty sure she was supposed to have soup and salad with it too, which she didn't get. So other than a few service issues I have no real complaints. Definitely going back, just maybe not on our lunch hour.
Service was great and sushi was excellent. The only thing was that when we came in it was close to the end of lunch time and the lady at the door said it going to be about 15 to 20 minutes and there were lots of tables open. Our saving grace came by Andrea sat us immediately and we had a wonderful experience. I will and would recommend this place to everyone.
We came for lunch on a Sunday and didn't have to wait for our table. We did the all you can eat option - and wow! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The menu is not incredibly extensive, but at the super affordable price of $13.99 per person, that seems reasonable - and we did not feel any lack of variety in our meal.We had a selection of appetizers, nigiri, and classic and hand rolls. We really did eat all we could, and for a fraction of the cost of what we'd pay at other sushi restaurants. This is definitely a new favorite!
Fast, good quality food, friendly staff, and you get your money's worth! Won't lie, my husband and I went 3 days a row for lunch one week. Obviously, come hungry!
Absolutely wonderful experience! All you can eat and the quality of the food was great! Very worth the money. Great sushi selection and tons of other options as well. Definitely would recommend for anyone who loves this type of food. Can't wait to go back!
So good!! Friendly staff, clean, and delicious sushi!
We’ve been twice. So far it’s been good with great service. They have the best Hot ‘n Sour Soup of the many local places we’ve been. Sushi has been good - I just wish they offered the scallop-mix nigiri (my favorite). They’ve done a good job with the extreme remodel.
