Every time we try to give this place a chance, we regret it. The employees here hate life and make it known by how incredibly rude they treat customers. We are very understanding people as we've worked in the restaurant/service industry. However, it is unacceptable how the employees treat people. We felt like an inconvenience, repeatedly asked "are ya done?" As we were trying to order, when we asked for meat and cheese only the lady said "omg just pull around ugh!!". We simply drove off because we were so worried about making this person even more irritated. This was probably the fifth time we've been treated so horribly. We won't be back like many others on this review. I'm very surprised this place is still open.
It was our first time trying the food here, we loved it! The burgers are more thin and crispy. It tastes more like real pressed beef, compared to Mc Donald's patties. The fries are super thin, but so crunchy and good. We tried the cotton candy shake, it tastes more old fashioned than the cotton candy ice cream you might try somewhere else. It's more subtle, than a strong flavor. But we loved it. Worth trying. I loved all the pictures on the outside of the building. Great experience.Love ❤️ from Kelsey and Lydia. Visiting from Canada ??
This place has been the pits for 2 years now! Never fails that the burgers are always cold when you get them and the fries are soggy. Anyone reading this you can put all the complaints you want on here but when you try to call the store or office they just don't give a s*** and never return your phone call . all I can say is Steak and Shake has gone downhill at this location, and they'd be doing themselves and their customers a service by just closing it down. Don't waste your time or your money.
There is not enough space on here for me to explain how wrong my family's experience was today at this restaurant. Something at the establishment needs to change and soon. It's easier to say what was right. One of my granddaughters loved her fries and the shakes( that we got 1 at a time over a 30 minute period) were awesome. The remainder of the $76 worth of food was unspeakable. Oh, and the place should be shut down solely on nastiness.
I ordered my food online. I was told I could not enter the lobby to get my order and had to wait in the drive through for another 15 minutes before I was told my order still wasn't ready. Told to pull up front to wait for my order. Order was brought out another 10 minutes later. At this point it was 45 minutes late from scheduled pick up. Checked my order and my burgers were ice cold! Felt like they had been stored in the refrigerator. This is the second time in the last couple months that I have received horrible service from Steak n' Shake.
Awful experience waited in drive through for one hour. Did not get chicken strips for kids meal . Went back to window walked up to window was told "don't be knocking on my window." Told him male staff I did no get chicken strips. Was told to in back in line and drive around building. Finally got strips they were cold and hard. My grandson could not eat them. Very disappointed in this service and food. Wasted $29.00 zero stars
Do not eat here. Their kitchen is disgusting. They served us raw chicken. The man at the window was so sorry, and refunded our order. obviously it wasn't his fault and you could even hear him telling everyone to double check the food. From the drive through window you could see all the food and trash on the floor. I worked drive thru and if I was the manager I would never let it get like that. Wonder what else is dirty now that they don't let you inside...
My grandma and I went here after church. Burgers were cold when received. Fries were greasy and flimsy and in what it’s look like a “brown paper” bag. Burgers were wrapped in aluminum foil. I felt like I was at a gas station outside of town. I also ordered a chocolate shake and the cup was dirty. 100% unsatisfactory. Won’t be eating here again.
The past 5 times I've ordered from here, theyve always gotten my order wrong on some capacity, and usually for the simplest things. I tried to order no onion, and there was still onion on my burger. It was the only thing I requested differently, I'm not sure how that's so difficult.
When we started out, we wanted Arby's, we sat in the drive thru 6 minutes at the Shallowford rd store and Noone came to take our order. So we decided to go to Steak and Shake. The drive thru was packed so we went inside. There was a huge family of like 9 people ordering in front of is. We thought we would be waiting forever. We waited 11 minutes. Maybe not ideal but it didn't matter once the the food came. It was DELICIOUS and very HOT! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean! Thank you guys!!
