We have not been in Smokey Bones in a while. We usually eat at the bar and while out running errands decided to stop in for an early dinner. The burgers were really good, we had no complaints about the food or the server that brought us the food. But the bar was a different story. the bartender was in-experienced, which I thought was odd for a ball-game Saturday afternoon. Service was very slow. We requested another round of beers knowing it would take a minute, but she grabbed both our glasses to refill. Normally I wouldn't have minded, but mine still was 1/4 FULL. I called it to her attention when she brought it back and her only response was "Oh, I won't charge you for that one". We were watching the ball games and another patron came in and asked her to change the channels to his games.she never even asked if we were watching the games, she just started switching. It wouldn't have been so bad, but she changed BOTH TV's right in front of us, instead of down the other way, which would have been easier for him to see. We both thought this was extremely rude. We left right after this. I do understand they were understaffed, which was evident by only seating half the restaurant but to have someone so inexperienced and not friendly at the bar seemed a poor management decision. Unfortunately, it will be a while before we visit again.
Best corn bread - ever. Get it as an appetizer - comes with maple honey walnut butter that melts right into the cornbread. The pulled pork sandwich was shy on the meat but we asked for more and they gladly gave it to us. Good food, not expensive and right on Gunbarrel Road.
We had the food delivered by Ubereats. We received everything we ordered and it was delicious! Brisket sandwich and ribs everyone loved,.
Worst restaurant ever! Ordered ribeye steak medium it come out like xrare the first time sent it back it come back out well done. Need less to say I didn't eat. Then ordered donuts and they come out raw dough in the center.
Love ?it. Great food. Short staffed but still had great service ?
Went late at night. Like 11 o'clock. Service was slow at first. Sat 20 minutes without even getting a drink, but when we told someone what happened they were nice about it and apologized. The service after that was wonderful! The food was delicious and the portions were large. I think the 20 minutes without service was just a fluke.
Good food. I think it's called the bone pit or something. It came on a mini bbq with coal that kept the food warm. Everything was delicious
Wanted to treat myself a little bit... got a build a burger... asked for medium rare.... got a greasy as you couldn't believe medium burger... only thing that saved it was I usually eat everything, had a few beers and I'm just not typically one to complain... service was fine I suppose.. I rated the burger 6/10... I feel I should rate it lower.. but... you get the idea... I hadn't been out in a while to dine... probably be another long while before I go out to eat somewhere... its a waste of hard earned money.
We arrived in Chattanooga late and were looking for a good place to eat. We found Smokey Bones still open. It was very clean and spacious. Our server was efficient and personable. The food was good. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were overcooked to the point of being burned. My husband ordered the pulled pork platter which he said was very good. I ordered the steak spinach salad. The steak was well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately, the salad wasn't spinach. It was romaine lettuce with a few pieces of spinach added. Perhaps they were out of spinach? Also, the dressing was already on the salad and it was way too much dressing. Nonetheless, it had a good flavor. Overall, not too bad.
All of the food here was good, especially the mushroom swiss burger and the loaded mashed potatoes. Our waitress was attentive but didn't hover. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in Chattanooga.
