Great food and very pleasant employees. The brisket was delicious! Make sure you get sweet tea with your meal - it was perfect!
Excellent bbq at good prices with friendly staff. Stopped by while passing through Chattanooga today and ordered a half pound of brisket and a half pound of pork. Jeff was kind and helpful loves what he does. Would recommend to anyone looking for real old school bbq.
Stopped here after hiking due to the raving reviews. My girlfriend and I ordered the ribs and pulled chicken combo with fried okra. We watched the workers scoop the meat with bare hands onto the scale and plate, which was an immediate turn off. The pulled chicken was cold and dry, the ribs were hot but very dry as well. The only thing redeeming was the fried okra and sweet tea, which were both excellent. Just overall a disappointing experience, even though we were starving and ready to eat anything.
BBQ was mouth watering delicious! The ladies that were taking our order and serving was true southern hospitality. Felt welcomed and treated great.
We compete in BBQ contests and run a part time BBQ concession trailer so we love to try BBQ wherever we go. We came here because of the good reviews. Although folks were friendly here, everything else fell a little short of our expectations. The shredded pork was dry and was not freshly cooked (we are pretty sure we had 'Saturday' pork on Wednesday), with a bit of bitter smoke taste. The half chicken was bland and dry and even though he was hungry, my husband couldn't finish it. The sauce was heavy on molasses and coffee tastes. Fried okra was great. We don't think the slaw or the potato salad were made in house, although they were good. The building has a lot of character but it wasn't kept up. Everything was dirty and dusty and there were dirty hand prints all over the bathroom wall. If the restaurant was maintained and the meat was fresher and not covered with the weird sauce, my review would be better.
Best BBQ period! And the banana pudding.....YUMMM!! Love supporting family owned business and this one has the BEST BBQ!!!
Some of the best BBQ I’ve had. Shufords is a family favorite and the staff is so nice.
Hands down the best BBQ in Chattanooga. I had guests in town that stopped at other BBQ restaurants in town, but once I brought them Shuford's they all agreed that hands down Shuford's takes the cake. The ribs were cooked perfectly as always, and the banana pudding was the best they'd ever had. My favorite place in town to take visitors to show them what real southern cooking is all about!
One of the best barbecue joints in the country! The food was excellent!! The sauces were great. The hospitality second to none. If you ever find yourself in these parts, you must come eat at Shufords
Best bbq Potatoes!!! We will go back again soon. The food is delicious and the owner is so nice. Definitely a must for bbq!
