Genuinely had a great time here! The food was incredibly well done. Our fish was soft and fresh with a crispy breading, the bread was soft, and the chipotle aioli was delicious. Our drink was great too, a bit strong but Not too bad.

Can’t beat the views of the river. Food was terrific. She crab soup was awesome. My crab cake sandwich was outstanding & my wife’s fish & chips was very good. Service was very attentive & food arrived quite promptly. Very pleased with our dining experience.

We sat in the garage roll up door patio area with the doors closed due to heat but had a great view of the river. Certainly want to experience a day with the doors open, so we'll be back at some point! There's another outdoor patio as well, but we needed indoors this time.I was surprised to find a seafood restaurant in this area but I read other Google reviews and wanted a local spot so we went for it. We were thrilled with our experience.David and Kirsten were our servers and they had fabulous service. Checked in as appropriate and even gave us space when we said we were going to do some work for a bit after we ate.Hush puppies were delicious and the jalapeno cornbread was a pleasant surprise! Both held wonderful flavor.I ordered the tuna melt and she crab soup, my co worker had scallops and broccolini. As good as the melt was, the she crab soup was amazing! I read another review saying how good it was and that's why I decided to try it, plus David said it was one of their popular items. It does not disappoint! The flavor and the quantity were fantastic. For a small cup of soup, it's packed with crab meat!My co worker said the scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce was really yummy. As odd as it is, I got the creme brulee to go to take home to my husband. We enjoyed it that evening for dessert together and while I'm sure it would have been best fresh, it still had amazing taste and the creaminess was spot on. The only thing negative was a little bit of the brulee was a little over done as it had a touch of burnt taste.Highly recommend Scotties on the River!

Do you judge a restaurant by how you are greeted by a hostess? Don’t do it in this case. people being overlooked on the wait list, or being ignored upon entering where just a few of the odd behaviors at the hostess stand. To the employee or maybe even a manager coming up to the hostess to flirt and chat, knock it off. Don’t think guests don’t notice, this is not the definition of hospitality. This all takes away from an otherwise very good meal. The firecracker shrimp to start were plump and tasty. The sole was fantastic and even though the ribeye was little more done than medium, it was tender and full of flavor. The waitress, Mae did a valiant job of overcoming the noisy levels in keeping us informed and our dining experience pleasant. We give Scotties a big thumbs up for the food, hope they keep it up.

First visit to Scottie's. Enjoyed the food and having a table where we could look out at the river. Be prepared to pay for parking (around $6). Server was learning but very nice and attentive to seeing if we needed anything.

When we are on vacation we are always picking a restaurant to have our last day's meal at. This year, with help from Trip Advisor, we chose Scottie's On The River. There was a lot of restaurants to choose from but there was something about Scottie's that caught our eye. Lots of reviews ... some quite good, some not so good. This is a walk-up restaurant (no reservations) so I'm sure there are some long wait times ... sometimes. We did not experience this and were promptly seated upon arrival. You'll need to get a parking pass from the hotel to put on your dash unless you want to risk getting towed. A hassle yes, but what 'ya gonna do? The restaurant is neat and well organized. The menu is varied and prices range into the astronomical range. For what we ordered, we found the prices in the acceptable range. We both had the 16 oz ribeyes that were cooked to our liking. I also had the oysters on the half shell and tho tasty, were rather small. Guess I've gotten spoiled on some of the east-coast restaurants on oyster size. The staff were hurried as there was not a proper staff/guest ratio. I'm sorry, but being an old restaurant guy, if my tea gets half empty, a staffer should be there filling it up. They did what they could but that area needs some stepping up. The view of the river was excellent and complimented our meal and enjoyment of the visit. The next visit to Chattanooga may find us trying another restaurant just to find another varied experience but we definitely recommend you consider Scottie's for your last meal.

Maybe we dined on an off night, but of all the items ordered, only one had good flavor and seemed well prepared, the shrimp salad. The name is a little misleading (not much salad to it), but the ingredients and overall taste was very good. The crab cake was more filling than crab. The taste was fairly bland. The stuffed shrimp also had zero flavor and was coated in something that tasted like white gravy. The fried lobster was just so-so. Our server made a big deal about it being 14 ounces, but there was not that much lobster once the fried shell was discarded! Based on what I saw at tables around us, I think the fried shrimp and other seafood might be the best dishes. Their hushpuppies are great, maybe the best thing we had at our table. Staff is friendly and reasonable efficient, although he never brought the oysters we ordered. The place was jammed when we arrived around 7:00 PM, but cleared out by the time we finished dinner. Service was slow, but I attribute that to the heavy crowd.

The staff is super friendly and the view is absolutely gorgeous. The food is a bit pricey for the taste. The cocktails were a bit heavy on the alcohol and it overwhelmed the taste. Some people may like that but it wasn't my thing. It was decent enough but the price was too much for decent. Also, you have to pay like 7 bucks or so to park to be able to eat there. If you do decide to go, get a riverside table for the sunset. Totally worth it!

There is no way you can tell me these reviews weren’t “paid” maybe I came on the wrong day, but I doubt it. this place was not anything to write home about. Our Waitress wasn’t good. The cheese in the cheese balls tasted sort of cheap like it didn’t pair well with the sauce on the outside. The stuffed mushrooms were surprisingly delicious. Parking is $6 & you have to go through several hoops to pay it if the machine is down. Don’t waste your time or money.

This was our first visit here! The food was really good. Our waitress wasn’t! The location is picturesque because it’s right beside the Tennessee River. It’s trendy here and contemporary, but it’s upbeat and new! There appeared to be a younger crowd and the vibe as hip. The food was prepared by a chef and was very good! We’d go back here, but I’d definitely want a different waitress. There is also a fee to park here because the parking lot is owned by the adjacent hotel. You go in and pay to park at the hotel for the restaurant. It was impressive overall! Although our waitress was mostly absent another person came by and helped us out, so that was nice. We were here Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 7:00.
