Great place, great food, great staff
Great atmosphere, really good bbq and brisket. Perfect stop after a long day at the aquarium. Service was exceptional and food was delicious.
It’s more of a restaurant/ bar than anything else but it is good. The bartender was incredibly friendly. We only had an appetizer and some beers so not sure how the entrees are. The appetizer we had was so so. The sausage was great, the cheese was cheap and sparse. The beer was cold and tasty! The location is close to the aquarium and easy to get to.
I stopped in for a bite for lunch as I wanted to walk downtown Chattanooga by the river and explore. I got the bbq pork Mac and cheese. It was really tasty. And I loved the little corn cake thing that came with it. The serving size compared to the price wasn’t what I would call a great value in my opinion but for the location maybe that is standard. The service was great. Very friendly, Efficient and timely.
We were seated next to a screaming infant. Table was wet and silverware was not acceptable. We were reseated in another section with clean utensils. Food was just ok. Sweet potato fries were cold. Meatloaf was hamburger with brown gravy. Just not what we expected. Nothing was a standout and special for my Mother’s Day meal.
Decided to eat here on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant wasn’t really too busy and we were seated quickly. Our waitress Lauren took our order and brought us our drinks. My wife got the chicken tenders with a side salad. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and green beans. The food was fresh and hot and it was good. The longer we stayed it became more crowded and louder.
I cannot characterize the dinner as perfect, but, realistically, it was fine. Provided silverware was water spotted - salad and dinner were served simultaneously - versus one after the other. It worked, but probably because I was hungry. It was just a hodgepodge of stuff that prevents me from calling this an excellent experience. The food was good; the server was attentive enough; i was really quite struck when i waited and waited and waited - then, was presented with salad AND the entree, simultaneously!! The food was good - it is a family atmosphere - it was just, an interesting experience! Had a nice salad with the meat loaf dinner and black/blue berry cobbler for dessert. Delicious!
Within walking distance from the Chatanooga Aquarium and kid friendly. Only waited 5 minutes for our party of 9 (5pm on a FRI).Good food along with their signature Blackberry sweet tea. TN whiskey salmon with mashed sweet potato was very good.Service was Excellent the first hour.However, it took a whole other hour to order and receive dessert!Although the bread pudding and strawberry/blackberry cobbler was very good, having to spend two hours to eat with 4 toddlers is an eternity for them. We barely escaped with our lives!??
I wouldve gave this place a 4 star review all except for one thing. Matt, he was our waiter and he was the best wait staff my wife and I have had the entire week we were in chattanooga. I don't know what they pay him, but I know it's not enough. Not only is Matt from Alabama originally. But he also helped me decide what beer I would want to drink of the local brew options by just asking me what beer I liked to drink usually. He was the fastest moving employee there. He even brought me a sample of what he recommended for me... no charge. Matt actually cares if you need something and if you are having a pleasurable dining experience. We never had to "wait for anything" my wife ordered the fried chicken which the menu says will take extra time. I had the chicken sandwich and we got fried green beans as an appetizer. Matt told us the fried chicken takes a little longer and would be about 25 minutes before it came out. But, that was not the caseWe got it out fast and could not have been happier! If you go to the aquarium there is no reason not to eat here!
Over all a pretty good experience for the family with two little ones. Nashville cheese stake is recommended full rack is good it has a really good rub.
