Hennenâs used to be a fantastic restaurant to go to. Recently their prices have rises and their food quality has gone down. I ordered a steak yesterday and it was slightly charred. Probably the smallest 16oz Iâve seen as well. Their steaks used to be thicker and more tender. The atmosphere and service are still amazing though, but with other restaurants opening in the area itâs easier to find better quality elsewhere. Itâs a shame honestly, because Hennenâs has been a staple in Chattanooga for years. They are going down the path of Beast and Barrel.
Loved the atmosphere. Food was very good until I was chewing on plastic. No telling how much I already ate until I realized what it was. Waiter went to get manager then came back and said he was told to replace the potato. I declined and then the manager came over and offered a free dessert and to take the $7 off. Definitely rubbed me the wrong way afterwards and didnât finish my food witch was a waist since they said they donât know where the plastic came from.

Our waiter, John, was great! The filets were fine but not amazing. His crab cake was mostly filler seasoned with old bay but very little crab. The asparagus was over cooked.
Excellent food and service
From start to finish everything was amazing. Our waiter, John was attentive and knowledgeable. The food from start to finish was amazing. We had to calamari, the meatloaf, and filet. My 14 year old son said it was the best meal he had ever had and that he felt powerful after eating the filet. We would highly recommend.
Food and service were excellent! The portions were small for the price, but delicious. Was hoping since they knew we were treating ourselves for our silver wedding anniversary they might throw in a little dessert or something, but they didn't. Since the food and the service were excellent we would definitely go back!
Excellent lobster bisque (soup of the day). Steak was prepared to the exact temperature I ordered.
So glad I chose Hennenâs over other establishments in the area. Everyone in my party raved about the food and what a nice place it was!
