Ok, so me and my husband are major travelers who LOVE to post our reviews after our visits. This place was fun! We got a singing sous chef! He was great and very entertaining! The food was excellent! Tender chicken and steak! I ordered a long Island tea the service on getting it to me a little slow. It was busy there on Christmas day. I would post 5 stars but, older restaurant!!! Great staff!! If you dont ask for the type of dressing on our salad you will get the house dressing. We enjoyed the people at our table very funny and generous. We go here because the food is superior to other hibachi establishments in town, but otherwise, this place has gone downhill. We arrived at 5:15 pm on a Monday for dinner and were told the wait was 30-40 minutes because there were only 2 chefs. We gave our phone number and waited outside. We were eventually called and seated at the far end of a table with 2 other parties who we hadn't even seen waiting. Our server greeted us, took our orders, and kept us advised as to the status of the chef's arrival at our table. Meanwhile, a table seated after us had their chef arrive and start cooking. Our chef did not put on the typical show and seemed rushed, but the food was delicious. Our server disappeared for 15 minutes as we waited for checks and finally returned saying that it was difficult to split checks sometimes. While waiting, numerous employees came out of the kitchen on their phones, with their own personal food, and appeared to be eating in a back dining area of the restaurant. No management present. The restaurant was unkempt and the bathrooms were dirty. We were here over 2 hours on a Monday. We won't be back for awhile.

I used to go here all the time with my family of 5. The new menu in the last few weeks is posted as "increased prices due to ingredient costs" but the real reason is they were bought out by a new company sometime around the beginning of January 2022. Now, the prices are just way to high for me to go. $15 for kids steak for my 5 year old is high. $25 for chicken & steak for 1 adult. The lunch prices are too high too. We went on a Saturday for lunch and hardly anyone was there... We all ordered down from what we used to get, so not really what we wanted and still ended up spending more. I guess I'm just not their target audience anymore. ? I gave 3 stars though because the food is still great! I just will only go now for special occasions at lunch time.

I took my boys to a special afternoon of Sushi and great Japanese food. This was a Terrible experience! New owners, new sushi chefs- severely over priced food. The sushi was not fresh, and just terrible construction and flavor. The waitress didn’t know half of the items on the menu because there had been so many changes, and they were understaffed. My son ordered a Fried Japanese appetizer, of which it came out with the center completely frozen! I had to insist the item be removed from our bill. No offer by the waitress to compensate for the terrible sushi either, although they did take the botched appetizer off the ticket. I’m not one to usually make a point and say something negative to the waitress… But this was a terrible.. Spent $75 for me and my 2 children for three rolls of sushi and some mediocre chicken and noodles. Unacceptable. We will not be returning.

Loved this place historically but it has struggled since Covid. Sushi special is the main staple for me here and I love their rolls that have mango in them. Restaurant felt dirty, menus kinda sticky, and you could tell they had a lot of inexperienced recent hires

Place has gone downhill in the last 6 months. Went about 2 months ago and l said l would never go back. Tried it again on 8th of January and it was worse. I understand that things have changed because of covid, but to tack on an 15 percent gratuity for sorry service is unacceptable. They even charged a single patron the same percent.l suppose they want the customer to pay the employees wages. Cook was good but waiter was horrible. Had trouble understanding everything that was asked of him. Got orders wrong and it was my daughter's birthday and informed him of that All other waiters took care of their tables in that regard but not ours. Always different employees there so that tells me there is a problem. Would rate it less if it had a negative scale.

Ever since covid hit this place went down hill. The rice has been dry the last 3 times. The chicken has a funny taste to it and the kids won't even eat it anymore from here. We used to go every week.

If your closing time is 10 but you stop taking orders 45 minutes before that I think that should be expressly stated. Also, the hostess was less than pleasant as I walked in at 9:20 and was told I couldn’t, mind you I missed their 45 minute window by five minutes to order a sushi roll.
