Ordered a burgerIt was barely warm and bun was literally cold. Meat looked and tasted like a frozen patty. Asked for crispy fries and I got mushy fries. Waitress never came back to check and we did not get refills on drinks. Daughters burger was the same. Not hot and seemed frozen. We waited forever for the check. My husband finally had to go find the waitress to play. We will mot be back.
Stop over on our trip to Florida from Indiana. Glad I did. Friendly local bar with plenty of atmosphere. Bacon wrapped shrimp app was phenomenal. Pulled pork sandwich with veggies was delicious and dinner salad was huge. Plus, bourbon and drinks were the perfect wind down from a day's driving! Kudos to our server Dontay and bartender Gene-O who were hustling and making sure we had a great experience!Definitely will be back on our next trip.
We was on vacation in Chattanooga and picked a random place by our hotel not once but two times! We loved this place and felt like one of the regulars. Price of beer was $1.75 for draft natural light. Fried pickles was the best ever! We both got Philly cheese steak was perfect. Shannon was our Waitress both nights and I felt like I known her my whole life. Very down to earth place.
We love this place!!!! They have the absolute BEST pizza! It is, however, disappointing to go there and it be closed, with no warning...or even a sign on the door. We went for lunch, closed. Took the boat out and came back for supper (and there were cars by the entrance)...but still, locked up tight. We get it if something happens, but if you're there, put a sign on the door at least.
The atmosphere and the salsa was about the only good thing we experienced. (And my husbands cold beer). Cheese sticks were not cooked all the way. Breading on the inside was still raw!! Asked about the chips (salsa) and they said restaurant style. Definitely not!!!! The cheese dip was “lumpy”, and luke warm. And them onion rings were awful. Asked if they were beer battered and waitress said no. But I beg to differ. They tasted and smelled extremely “yeasty”. And the onion on the inside was the “skin” of the onion; couldn’t chew it. I couldn’t see spending any more money than what was already lost on the 3 appetizers.
Best steak I’ve ever eaten with a plastic knife and fork! Got a to go order for the family as we enjoyed the pool back at the hotel.Chatted with the owner while waiting. Interesting conversation and good drinks while I waited. The owner was the one that pointed out what a shame to eat a steak with a plastic fork & knife. Some of my favorite steaks have been cooked in obscure ways and not as much as a styrofoam plate. But Fireside’s steak didn’t need much knife work as it was tender and juicy like a ribeye should be. Perfectly seasoned and done to perfection.I’ve eaten steaks from legendary steak houses that wouldn’t rival the fireside’s
Definitely a local hang out bar, with great food! For the appetizer we ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. The shrimp were large sized, but smaller then what I would consider jumbo, wrapped in a single slice of bacon. Grilled just right. I continued the seafood theme and ordered the Grouper sandwich, blackened. The fish was cooked to perfection (not burnt). The kitchen had their game on point!I ordered beer, which was cold and fresh, but the bar looked well stocked with liquor!I would not take a first date here, but I would take a group of buddies for beer and wings! There is an ample number of flat screens through out the establishment to watch the game on too (we watched NASCAR!).
Fireside Grill is one of our favorite restaurants in Chattanooga! The waitstaff and Gene-O the owner/bartender are very welcoming to us out of towners. We crave their hand cut ribeye steaks which are cooked to perfection. Oh, and Jamie makes a killer bloody mary. We will definitely keep coming back!
Swung by and got some lunch around 2 to share. Spent $40, service was nice and fast, but food was VERY greasy. Chicken tenders were good and breaded well, but the patty melt and ESPECIALLY the fries leaked grease and oil. Had to use a napkin to absorb most of the grease. Got the sample platter, wings had little to no flavor and potato skins looked old. The cheese sticks were OK. Probably won't be back here.
Great people and terrific food!I finally had the smoked wings, and let me tell you. Fantastic! Best wings I've ever had. I took a chance and had them unsauced, and I was not disappointed.Gene, Jamie, and the rest of the crew always take good care of us.
