This was my first time to eat at this establishment. The food was authentic, flavorful and quick to receive. My beef was cooked to perfection and the patacones were amazing. My wife had the chicken and it was moist while chared on the outside. The kids got the Cuban sampler with pork, plantains and empanadas. The meats were exceptional. The atmosphere was very remanesent of the Caribbean and the prices excellent. This is definitely a new favorite. I definitely recommend this place for couples and for group gatherings.
The struggle is real, trying to find a good Cuban sandwhich and fried sweet plantains in Western NC, TN, and North GA region, but this place definitely comes through as a shining star. The staff and food have always been wonderful. I keep coming back every time I am in Chattanooga.
The food was good. The server had to come back to check my order and ended up messing up both me and my boyfriends sides. Otherwise the food tasted great.
My wife and I tried this place at one of her co-worker's suggestions. What a great idea that was; incredible service and delicious food. The menu was full of authentic Cuban dishes, both ones I knew, and ones I've never had before. Prices were very good and the portions were generous. We really enjoyed the decor and the cleanliness of the restaurant overall. We will certainly be back.
What a treat Embargo 62 is! We went for the first time tonight and we are blown away with how delicious, authentic, and overall incredible it is! The ambience was delightful - food is top notch. We got the appetizer platter which was a great way to sample many yummy things. I got a sandwich - it was grilled and the Cuban sweet bread really made it over the top. Highly recommend!!!!!
I love Cuban food, so I was excited to find this place. Their empanadas were really good and large. We also got the pan con bistec and tostones nachos. The nachos were kind of a silly dish and maybe took away from some of the tostones's crunchiness, but I thought it was pretty good. It was a lot of food! Service was quick and friendly.

Do not order the half chicken marinated overnight. It was not half a chicken , it was three legs. Who would have thought dark meat could be so dry! Marinated sounds succulent and spicy, it was not either! Just dry and plain. Also, the cuban bread is just bread,No spices, no butter. Some of our party’s meals were good but most were not. Seemed like the waitress was a busser, dishwasher,bartender, and waitress. Poor girl could not possibly keep up. So service was incredibly slow. Advertised as a rum bar but only served beer. This place has gone downhill. I won’t be back.
