Downtown Dough is an unexpected vegan treat. Of course they have lots of flavors and combinations, but being able to come in and grab a vegan slice of chocolate chip cookie dough with two scoops of vegan chocolate chip ice cream is a real treat. Service is courteous and friendly. The dining area is spotless, and they offer outdoor seating.
We came across Downtown Dough while hiking around town. I highly recommend this unique shop. For $9.99, you select a small slab of edible raw cookie dough and your choice of ice cream. It was good, the service was excellent.
I literally stop by everyday or my boyfriend does and brings me a bowl of the best ice cream in town I have an ice cream store attached to my condo but choose to walk down a couple of blocks to get REAL ICE CREAM Totally worth a few extra steps from the Walnut St Bridge
Quiet cute little ice cream shop. Amazing owner and staff. Friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Best traditional ice cream cone... was perfect stop to take a break between parts of the Aquarium
I've visited Chattanooga so many times, it's always been for the aquarium or mountain, this time I visited Riverbend and Market Street. I never realized how beautiful downtown Chattanooga truly was,until this visit. Amazing!!! Please take your time to walk the bridges and take in the views while you're there.you want be disappointed!!
We went in to grab a few drinks (my family went walking around chat), and my mom asked for a party cake cookie; the employee placed it in a bag and left it on top of the countertop. The employee then went to serve the 1st family their ice cream. My mom grabbed the bagged desert, and the employee turned and yelled at my mother, "don't touch that; this family was first, so be patient!" The room immediately became uncomfortable. My mom was left embarrassed. My mom didn't know, nor did we, that you weren't allowed to hold the dessert. That encounter left a horrible feeling. I feel like the yelling was unnecessary :/
I loved this place!! We stopped by after the aquarium and we’re not disappointed. We had 2 scoops and a slab of cookie dough and every single bite was delicious. I had done some research before we went and I had seen some past flavors. I knew it being winter/spring there was no chance pumpkin was going to be on the menu but the sweet owner told me if I came back in the morning she would make me the specific flavor I was dreaming of. Definitely came back the next day for pumpkin cheese cake and oh my goodness 150% worth it! You don’t get amazing service like that any more and I was so thankful.
My boyfriend & I visited this establishment today on the first day of spring. Chattanooga was nice & sunny and this frozen treat hit the spot. Super delicious & the lady behind the counter was sweet and informative (:

First, if you're going to stop in, get the "combination" of ice cream and cookie dough and thank me later.This is such a great spot for a treat and Cindy, the owner/operator, is super nice. The question isn't whether or not I'll return; it's how I can keep myself from going back too much :)
