Good eats and they 40oz bud light bottles!

Asked my hotel clerk for the best fried chicken and beer restaurant. She directed us to Champy's. Food was so good, I almost caught a case because I went back to my hotel wanting to kiss the clerk for the recommendation. Chicken was so juicy. Baked beans and potato salad were impeccable. So much so, that we came back for seconds the very next day.

Sitting here eating right now on the outdoor patio. The weather is definitely perfect for it. So I’ve started out with the Hot Tamales, and I got the 3 piece white meat meal. I got baked beans, and potato salad as my sides. Everything taste SO AMAZING!!! Place the staff and the atmosphere here is phenomenal! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend! I will definitely be coming up here more often! Also, this is my 1st time here! My waitress Tyana is amazing as well!

Best Mac and cheese I have ever had!!! Period. The fried chicken was also very good and the French fries too, but nothing beats that Mac and cheese!!!!!! Mandatory stopn

Very good service excellent fried chicken the green beans were very tasty. The service was fast -everything was really great

Champy’s on Ringold in Chattanooga served us promptly with delicious fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, potato salad and baked beans. Our server, Sophia, was friendly, courteous, and prompt with refills. In fact, Sophia made our dining experience wonderful. We will definitely dine here again!

While on vacation and passing through Chattanooga on I24, we stayed again at a hotel within walking distance of Champy's. We've been through b4 and liked their Fried Chicken, so back we went. Devyn did a great job serving our table in the bar and frankly looked fine doing it. We split their very good fried chicken and an order of tamales that another TA reviewer suggested. We agree they are good albeit a bit too greesy. Their place is rough looking but that is what they obviously are going for here with signed and scribked on U.S. $ bills pasted everywhere. Not my way to spend hard earned doe but Champy's doesn't hold a gun to your head to join in. We enjoyed meeting 5 cool work crew dudes across from us at the bar that were scouting Devyn for us and doing their best at keeping distilleries and breweries in business.

We came here on a Friday evening. The food was awesome! Our waitress was really busy with a party of 15 behind us. We got our drinks in a timely manner. Another server brought our food, she was kind of rude, asked us what we ordered shoved it on the table and walked away as fast as she could. We had to ask our server for plates and sauce. This was our first time visiting and it was delicious. One suggestion though- there are 3 types of potatoes for sides: fries, mashed and potato salad. Not everyone likes potatoes (my child) so a healthier option would be nice like a side salad or vegetable of the day even a sweet potato. We plan to visit again on our next trip to chattanooga.

Rarely do I give a fried chicken joint five stars, but here we go! Nobody does fried chicken better than the Southeastern United States. And few restaurants make a more impeccable version than Champy's in Chattanooga! The place is legendary and for good reason. I finally made my first visit and was blown away! That beautiful fried chicken crust is subtle perfection, thin yet impossibly crispy, seasoned but not overwhelming. Once you pierce the skin, the meat is impossibly juicy and tender. This is fried chicken at its best. One of the amazing things about Champy's is that the french fries are nearly as good as the chicken. They're crisped on the outside and soft on the inside, as the perfect fry should be. But they're immersed in a light batter, bringing them to another level. Champy's also sells tamales, but these aren't comparable to the ones I grew up eating in Southern California. In all fairness, nothing really compares to SoCal short of visiting Latin America. Chattanooga is a long way from the border. The filling, the sauce, the masa, none of it's right. But that's okay. I'd just stick with the fried chicken here.

Champy's is a must stop for fried chicken lovers. The wait staff is attentive, and the bird is fresh and cooked with care. Clearly the proprietor has a love for their patrons, and it shows in execution. I'm your biggest fan! I rolled with a 3 piece dark with slaw and green beans. Comparable to the price of fast casual chains, with a home-cooked appeal. Thanks, y'all.
