While restaurants are struggling to have full staff, I would like to brag on the team at Sportsman's Grille. They handled a Sunday lunch crowd with no problem. We were seated promptly, our waitress was polite and professional. Food was quick to the table and tasty. A great experience, would highly recommend and will be returning.
The server’s were considerate & efficient. The food was hot and good, great timing.We’d traveled overnight to get to Nashville. We’d tried a few locations in the city, but the experiences were so negative, we decided to travel out a bit to have a nice meal. Exhausted and starving, they took great care of everyone <3. We went on 4/12/2022. My husband and sons food came out hot and fresh. They only got two stars cause the food did taste great. But the service sucked. My food a salad and a bowl of chilli came out at the same time. I eat some of my house salad and then went to my chili which was room temp almost cold. I told the waitress who asked if I wanted it reheated. I told her no that I’d just take a to go bowl. The corn bread that came with the chili was cold and greasy. I asked to speak to the kitchen manager and a man walked up and said “I heard a rumor you wanted to speak to the kitchen manager I’m not him but how may I help you.” Still don’t know his name or who he was but he wanted to know if I wanted it reheated I told him no I just wanted to make him aware of it. But overall the customer service sucked. The waitress hardly checked on us. Our drinks were refilled by someone else. Our food brought out by someone one else. Definitely want be going back again.
Great menu. Great venue if you love an authentic lodge (which... I do). Great food. Cannot wait to try more from the menu, not sure how this place escaped us for the years we've been here.... But, we found you now and will absolutely be a reg lunch spot.Coconut cake - damn this was so good.
Very pricey. The salad was boring. No bacon bits. The hot chicken was good, but I can't figure why anyone in their right mind puts chicken over top of the fries rendering them useless. I dearly paid for them however. The catfish bites were horrible. Repeat: Horrible. If the waiter wasn't so on point, I'd feel really good about giving this establishment 3 stars.
This is a wonderful restaurant with very good food but they need employees terribly bad. Most of the tables were empty and the poor servers were work to death. But always an awesome experience and an awesome atmosphere!
I somehow forget about this restaurant! Today, wanted their catfish basket (GREAT!), but when in on their specials menu they had FRIED OYSTERS! That's really hard to find around here, so I ordered..REALLY GOOD, happy camper! Very pleased. I had the nicest waiter, sorry, never caught his name, but he was great. This is not a fancy place and has not changed decor since opening, but it serves me well for decent food at the right price!
Well. Loved the portico drop off!Sunday lunch before symphony matinee. I asked about probable time , got a great answer, and they met it!Service was excellent despite a sign stating they were short staffed. Lighting was extremely dim for a cloudy rainy day, but somewhat forgiven as the place is sports-TV oriented.Ladies bathroom: 1 hot water sink handle missing, light burned out over handicapped stall. Very dangerous!The many floor mats were trip hazards for mom (walker) especially with the dim light and lack of contrast between rugs and floors.Food: My grilled chicken salad was outstanding. Mom’s catfish basket--mixed. The fish: great. The fries: greasy and limp. The Cajun cornbread: not to her taste. “Wouldn’t give it to a dog”Nice change of pace, but will try somewhere else next time.
Such a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a cold wintry night! The fire was roaring, and it felt like we were in an old ski lodge. The food was fresh and good.
Just walked in and think this may be my newest favorite bar. Bartender Brad helped me get a spot where I could see the two games I am interested in. Great vibe with famlies in the dining area, fires in the fireplaces and people watching conference championship football at the bar.
