The only thing I can say is I will go back as soon as possible. The food is simply amazing, from a delicious sausage to a juicy brisket full of flavor. I can't believe how well the food was prepared. It is truly a gem in Nashville, and I'll make it one of my standard stops when I'm in the city from now on.The staff is also super friendly and made me feel more then welcome. I highly suggest you give this place a chance if you like BBQ.I had the meat platter with brisket, sausage, red jacket potato salad, and cowboy beans.
I was craving bbq and found this place on TripAdvisor and I’m sure glad I did. The food was really good and delivered to our table in just a few minutes. The ribs were awesome!! The meat just fell right off the bone. I will definitely eat here again.
No real complaints, the food was good. Only one person taking care of all the tables so service was a little slow. It wasn't real bad but another person would have made it faster. When we arrived we were told to sit anywhere, the two closest tables had not been cleaned yet but we were able to find one. This bar seems to be a local hangout and wad very popular. If your in the area and in the mood for BBQ it's worth a stop.
Had a group of visitors in town, and obviously BBQ was on the 'must have' list. And when you must have BBQ in Nashville, you go to Judge Bean's.Down home, welcoming atmosphere. Save your fancy pants for going uptown. This is just some real good BBQ, done the right way.
Ate here for dinner on our way through town. The food was really good! We started with the loaded nachos with pulled pork. It was a large amount and enough for 6 adults. The yard bird was juicy and very tasty. The baked beans were delicious and had a good kick of heat to them. I was not a big fan of their BBQ sauce but my other family members liked it. The kitchen closed at 8 and by 8:15, the music definitely was louder and made it hard to have a conversation.
Good food, the pepper bbq sauce was quite nice. Service was a tad slow. Could have just been busy.
Haven't ate here yet, but great spot for drinks. Update- Still great spot for drinks 5 star, but if looking for a good brisket, you will need to continue your search. The pork was not good either, which is usually a can't miss. Very disappointed.
The "cowboy beans" were really bad. It was like took a 16oz can of store bought baked bean. Then, added an entire 2oz bottle of store bottle chili powder and salt to the beans. Surprisingly, the brisket was better than last visit. It went from over cooked, thin and dry; to a semi-tender, thick bacon cut. Even though, it had a decent bark, there was no smoke ring and was a little under cooked (not as in raw, just needed more time on the grill/smoker to get that smoke ring and become elegantly tender). Unfortunately, the pulled chicken went the other direction. Last visit it was moist and tender. This visit it was dry. Really want to give a better review due to convience, good atmosphere, being a local establishment, and the staff and short wait time. However, with the two other excellent bbq joints downtown, they need to be more consistent and step up the food quality.
They’re wings are amazing. They give you a crazy amount of food if you order a side. The bar is nice. The bartenders give great service. The beer is reasonably priced and better than any other I’ve found in Brentwood. The TVs are always in sports so I can watch my games there. I really like the white sauce. I’m eager to try the yardbird.. I hear great things.
great local atmosphere, interesting menu with a few surprises like the Texas sushi and the shrimp diablos. attentive, friendly staff. brisket was a bit tough, but it might have just been an off night. everyone seemed to be having a good time.
