Jay, our server, was warm and efficient and paid attention to detail. A very pleasant young man. The good was served hot and delicious.
The effects of COVID-19 are going to be felt for many years to come. The food and service industries struggle daily as well as many other businesses. However, do you sacrifice your long reputation of quality food and excellent service for large quantities of untrained or undertrained service employees? Hostesses, wait staff and cooks clearly have no regard for cracker barrel's reputation. Rude hostesses, an unclear server and clearly an under trained cook serving burnt french toast.
We pick up food from this location fairly regularly to take to an ill, housebound family member. After regularly getting our order wrong we will no longer be ordering from this location. It isn't hard to repeat a customer's order back to ensure correctness. When we walked in today our order wasn't ready which was no big deal even though it was past the length of time we were told. I went up to pay and was told my order wasn't in the system. Turns out it was but the person who took the order "hadn't heard" me say meatloaf and put it in as a kids meal. Finally after everything was straightened out and we got to our family member's home we were missing an order of mashed potatoes. A lot of hassle could have been avoided if the associate had taken the time to repeat the order back and verify it was correct before handing it to us. Hopefully this will be constructive criticism for improvement but we'll not be back to find out. I do want to add the cashier was a very nice older lady and we really appreciated her. Unfortunately I did not get her name.
We always love this place. Its cean and staff is friendly. The food is very reliable - if you order something, it comes the way you expect it to.There can sometimes be long waits especially if you have a larger group, but the other day we stopped in for breakfast - party of 2 - and they were able to seat us without a wait at all, which was such a treat.
The young man that served my family was A1. Most of us were from out of town there to surprise other members. This young man would make me drive back just to eat there on a day trip. My dad tipped him twice and in between that I sent my son to give him a tip. He should be given SERVER OF THE MONTH OR something. Excellent work young man!!!
Food was wonderful as always❗️Adriana a delightful server❗️One thing missing though….a fire with the wood scent and cracklin’ sound….
My experience with this particular Cracker Barrel was absolutely terrible due to the waitress's inability to do nearly anything that we asked for, as it seemed like she was simply thrown out to the floor and never had the proper training. The food did not make up for her rudeness and she only took our orders for food and wasn't seen again until the last bite was taken, no refill offer, nothing. This restaurant is horrible, to say the least!
It was awful ‼️... When I went in to order not many people there. Could no find anyone to take an order. Finally a man appears on the phone someone apparently lost there wallet. Which took president over the person standing in front of him. I asked him to take my order but noooo had to wait until this guy finally came up. I was there at least 15 minutes before being able to order... I spent $58 in there on 2 meals, 2 drinks, tic tac toe rug big one, & a cracker tin. I have NEVER HAD SUCH BAD SERVICE N NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. I get Covid 19 but I'm Sooooo tired of tht ALWAYS being the excuse...
The steak, egg, and hash brown casserole was to die for! The flavors were fresh and the seasoning was amazing! This is a permanent choice for me returning to Cracker Barrel! Please please NEVER get rid of this!
Our waitress kept spacing out, she never brought us a refill the whole hour and ten minutes we waited for our food. She got part of the order wrong so one of my kids had to wait an extra 20mins while everyone else ate.
