The food didn't live up to the hype. The ribs were a little tough and the membrane was still attached. The baked beans didn't have much smoky flavor, nor did the mac and cheese. The brisket was good though.
Had a half slab of dry rub ribs which were good, though a bit too much dry rub. Very good fries. But what we really wanted was a slice of the Corky brand fudge pie which was not on the menu. Too bad it's really good.
The best thing going for this restaurant is the staff. We went through the drive-thru just before closing time, and the young man at the window was very gracious and helpful, even though they were within minutes of closing. He helped us get the order we wanted and smiled the whole time. This is a big deal! We ate back at the hotel, and I will say that the sides were really good, but the ribs and brisket could have been better. I understand it was the end of the day, but the meat was greasy and we discarded most of it. That said, the order was accurate and the quantities were quite large. It might be worth trying again, just not so close to closing.
The food and service was great. We were in the area for the first time and relied on phone and reviews for dinner places. I had the ribs with dry rub with baked potato. The meat fell right off the bone and was so delicious. My boyfriend had the barbecue chicken with baked beans. Everything was delicious. Will definitely go back again when we’re in the area.
disappointing !! This used to be the greatest BBQ spot....I have gone out of my way to eat there. Now it is average at best . Indifferent attitude from the staff, I could live without the table service if everything else was first rate, but it ain't. Before, the rolls alone were worth going out of your way for, now it is all just kinda OK-ish I hope it is mostly because of Covid, but this place has seen better days, and a lot better food
Overall good but not great, but that may be due to my personal taste. I am someone who likes a lot of added flavor to my foods and this sauce (Memphis style) only added a little sweetness and smokiness. Personally, I like a little heat and more sweetness in my barbeque. Pecan pie was very good and sweet, but cole slaw was my favorite part of the meal.
My ribs were good, although the ends were dry. My wife really enjoyed her pulled pork, but said the bbq chicken was just ok. We will go back.
excellent food and service.
Good food and AWESOME service by Martin!
We are long time fans of Corky's having lived in Memphis for years. The BBQ is delicious, for those of you from other places, this BBQ is more sweet than tart and they put coleslaw on the sandwiches unless you ask them to hold it. The ribs come wet or dry and don't disappoint. The fried foods are perfect, hot, fresh and not greasy at all! Best fried catfish and fried okra I have ever had. We often order platters of the catfish and chicken nuggets for family gatherings. It's all good y'all.
