Enjoyed brunch! Had the Shrimp & Grits with a side of Biscuits… very good! Added an Autumn Peach Mimosa… delish!Highly recommended for a great brunch spot, good vibes, and food! Great customer service.
The food and service was amazing! I'm normally very critical of my food, but I had nothing bad to say about this place. I'm so very proud of them for not turning the music down too??.
Staff is always so friendly and welcoming, plus their food is AMAZING! All the jams are outstanding, and their grits are out of this world. The staff really makes you feel like part of the family. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
We were so excited to try out this cute breakfast/brunch restaurant. We came on a quiet Thursday when it was not as busy and we were seated immediately. Our server was absolutely sweet and happily greeted us. We ordered the featured French toast of the day, banana fosters my husband’s favorite, and the breakfast tacos with breakfast potatoes. It sadly did not meet our high hopes from reading other reviews. The food was tasty but inconsistent with correct cooking. My tacos were way over fried while both our potatoes were crunchy. My husband’s French toast was tasty but had one sad little piece of banana. I did ask the waitress to check and see if he could get some more bananas but we were told that’s not the way they make there fosters sauce ?. She said they cook them/mash them up into the rum while making it. ????!!! Now I’m no master chef but if I order bananas fosters anywhere or make it, the best part is the way that the banana pieces are cooked/flambéd in the rum sauce. Alright, last thing that just needs to be said. Got our check and saw that 18% gratuity had already been added. Ok cool she did a great job and I don’t have to think about the math lol. Well we got our card back with the receipt and it had changed from gratuity to a service charge and was asking for a tip?? Not sure what’s up there but if you go please make sure to check your receipt so the server gets the tip.
Upon entry, we weren’t greeted but that was fine because they were busy. Took a couple of minutes before we were told someone would be with us. Had a reservation and was seated immediately after that. Took quite a while for our waitress to come (seemed there was only two working the floor and ours was pregnant and super sweet). Waited about 35 minutes for our food and it was just okay. Not really hot and my potatoes in the hearty bowl were burnt. Probably won’t visit again unless it’s throughout the week and slower.
Everything! The food, drinks, and staff! I recommend this to everyone! It never misses! I don’t mind the waiting time, IF there is a wait because it is ALWAYS worth it! If you haven’t tried Biscuits and Jams 901 you are missing out! I can still taste that pancake shot!
I wish I took pictures of the inside of the building because I love the design. I really like their design on the wall, and the pictures of the singers as well. The staffs was very friendly and welcoming to me and my friend when we walked in. The reason this is a four star review is because we did have to wait an hour for our foods, but I understand the situation due to short staff issues. Once we got the food it was so good. I had the Hearty Bowl, The Side Biscuit, and the Mini Biscuit. The Hearty Bowl that I had got bacon, pepper, scramble eggs, and cheddar cheese in it. The flavors matches so well together with the crispyness of the bacon, the scramble eggs, the fried potatoes, and pepper. The Side Biscuit was so fluffy and good especially with the strawberry jam. The Mini Biscuits had cinnamon and butter in it which matches so good. I wash it all down with Water and Orange Juice.
Walked in on a busy Sunday afternoon. The place was packed but the owner greeted us, and she was kind enough to make sure we got a table. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. We ordered fried green tomatoes, the shrimp and crawfish eggs Benedict and their B and J breakfast. The Benedict was one of the best we have ever had—amazing flavor. I absolutely loved the biscuit with jam—light and fluffy. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly seasoned and enjoyed our take home portion later all over again. Our server was extremely nice—it was so busy, and the kitchen did take awhile. We didn’t mind as we were enjoying our conversation, and the good food was worth the wait.
One of the best low key breakfast/lunch spots in Memphis!!! Hands down one of my new favorites. The staff was on point, the food selection I chose was delicious, and the ambience was perfect!!! Get over there and see for yourself. I mean who doesn't like a bacon stuffed waffle??
I loved it. Black owned, it's small so reservations are suggested. It was cute and everything was good. Drinks were tasty but they didn't skimp on the liquor. Food fresh and yummy. Good portion sizes. Staff was on it. 5 stars for me
