Applebee's has gotten expensive!! 1 shot of house liquor and a 18 oz tap light beer is $12 during happy hour!! Service was ok and I had the French onion soup which used to come with an awesome slice of cheese baked over the top. Today it came with a couple little shreds of cheese... missed the French onion experience but flavor was still good. Wont be back
Went here late night dinner. No service for 5 minutes then told to go to bar where the bartender ignored us. 1 waiter on the floor. He directed us to the bar then 20 minutes later directed 2 more parties to a table. We had to ask fotr menus after 10 minutes at bar while listening to a boisterous woman laugh and curse. 2 people that came in after us were served. Bartender served people and got halfway finished making my drink to go after we sat at the bar waiting on our food. We waited an hour...it was 11:50 when we arrived. Disgusting service. Food not bad. We ordered appetizers that took an hour! Lunch time is better and Ive never had bad experience from the lunch crew. I usually have the same 2 nice waiters which is why I went later in the night. NEVER AGAIN!
My experience was horrible I ordered from the kids menu for our children and they ordered two pizzas and they came out burnt and they actually served it to these children they're understaffed the food we ordered with garbage the manager never came to speak with us and apologize they just want to take it off your ticket and brush it under the rug because they were quote-unquote too busy never again will I go there
Our experience was horrible!!!! When we arrived the place was almost empty. Our server was really sweet but wasn't attentive at all. My was made to pay for food that she couldn't even eat. The ribs were dry, she never received the sauce for them and I never got the breadstick that went with my meal. My pasta was dry af, the chicken was dry and tough, and the broccoli was steamed into mush. The manager was rude and drunk and didn't give us the name and number for his supervisor or corporate. We will not eat there ever again.
Waited 20 minutes to get seated on a less than half capacity. 20 minutes to get service kids food arrived first waited 15 minutes to get silverware for them to eat finally get one adult plate then wait another 10 minutes to get other 2. Food was made totally wrong. Worst birthday dinner ever!!!!!
During the week of December 20-27 2021 the Shelby County Health Inspector gave them a score of 73. That is really not good.Violations include: Lack of supervision or person in charge to demonstrate knowledge and perform duties, improper hand washing, food-contact surfaces need to be cleaned and sanitized, prevention of food contamination both during food preparation, storage and display as well as personal cleanliness, wiping cloths were not properly used or stored. Utensils, equipment, linens and single-use/single service products need to be stored properly, gloves used properly, food and non-food contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed/constructed and used, sewage and water waste disposal, garbage/trash properly disposed, maintaining clean facilities, and no current permit posted.
The alfredo was a bit undercooked... However the service was great. The foods were so-so, with quite fair prices and portions. It's only convenient because of the long operational hours. Nice place and ambience to chill and hang out, though I hope there's a free WiFi for customer...
This was a disaster from the very beginning. We had a large group (13) so I tried to call ahead. I was hung up on 3 times while navigating their maze of an automated system, and when I reached a person he tried calling who I needed.. across the restaurant... but couldn't help me when they didn't answer the phone (from inside the restaurant!!).I stopped by today after work and they were very nice, so I had hope.When we arrived, we waited 20 minutes while the table was set up, and the host updated us to let us know our server was running late. He didn't want to seat us until our server arrived, but we asked to be seated anyway so we had a place to sit. Our server was late for work and then was not told he was to take care of us, which extended our wait for service. We ordered an appetizer which came our with our meals, and our meals came out one. at. a. time. They came out so slowly (over the course of an hour) that some were finished eating while others still waited. Our server had to check more than once who still didn't have food and cross reference from his booklet to see who was forgotten.. When our meals arrived, they weren't hot, and my 4 cheese mac n cheese was missing... cheese. There was a little bit of cheese sauce in the bottom of the bowl, but even when I mixed it all in, I had many bare noodles. We complained, my cousin had her meal taken off her ticket, and my mac n cheese was taken back for more cheese. The manager stood in front of us wringing his hands on the towel he was holding and apologized by saying the mac n cheese doesn't come with cheese, only a cheese sauce. My cousin also was not offered anything else in place of the meal she sent back.Nothing was organized.. none of the steaks came out together, the two riblet plates didn't come out together, my mac n cheese bowl came out room temp and missing cheese while my son's mac n cheese was forgotten, I could go on.The best thing ordered tonight came from the bar, but even then, the garnish on my Bahama Mama was not good. It was not a fleshy part of the fruit and was very dry. Normally I'd squeeze it into my drink but there was nothing to squeeze.Our server couldn't remember anything we asked him, and my cousin had to ask 3 times for her drink to go, which our server didn't know she asked for - even though he was talking to her when she asked!We asked for to go containers and our server handed some to us through another table rather than bring them to us- very alike the way we had to pass food down to everyone as if we were an assembly line, because he didn't take the food to any one individual person.Paying our tab was frustrating because he didn't have the orders organized and got himself confused, and then he stood over us and waited for our credit card receipts before leaving, barking to give him back his pen so someone else could use it. I hadn't yet signed my receipt and turned to find him waiting for me. I felt like, after that bad service, we were being rushed out. Rude!All in all, my attempt to find a nice restaurant for my family, a place where we could each enjoy something to our liking, failed. Nobody really enjoyed their food or our service, and if we ever did return we would make sure to sit at individual tables. We received horrible service and our server still made almost $50 in gratuity from us. It was not earned, and if we had a say in the matter that gratuity would have been much less.This was the worst and we will not return.
The food is good. Some of the employees are quite nice and helpful. But they are understaffed, overworked and stressed out. They need help. The manager told me that they offer paid training, competitive wages and applicants and management negotiate wages based on experience, ability and availability. If you need a job, they have openings in every position and every shift.
Good food, just enough on the healthier side to make it worth going back. I choose the blackened salmon with broccoli . Salmon was just slightly overcooked but still enjoyable. We were there in mid afternoon and our server was covering most of the tables . He did an amazing job and was always around to refill our drinks and was super fast when it came time to pay the check, always with a smile on his face and joy in his heart.
