Family friendly atmosphere. The wait staff is so kind and attentive! I really enjoyed my signature roll and the cute complimentary dessert at the end.

Wow I loved this experience! Such a friendly place! Everyone we encountered was very pleasant and kind. We picked up some veggies rolls and they threw in some free edamame which was cooked perfectly and a great idea to boost the nutrients in our meal. The youngest kiddo came in with me and was handed a coveted Ramune drink, which are hard to find these days. Generous, well priced and delicious! ? loved the sweet potato tempura! Thank you for a delightful lunch!
I've always loved this place! Great food with incredible service. A very sweet server was so concerned about a little boy who had something too spicy while we were there. She was trying to bring him different food and drinks to help. They have such a caring staff!
Tokyo is always great. Best prices in town and at least one free appetizer every visit. My only critique is that there is no fountain soda. You're stuck paying $2/12oz can. I'd happily pay $3 for fountain with free refills.
The food tasted sooo good! And the portion size was larger than we expected. Very friendly staff as well!
I have been here twice. Once for dine in. Very friendly staff and good service. The waiter gave me a free small appetizer for free. Nice of them.Another time is with delivery on DoorDash. Free small appetizer with the meal.Godzilla roll and Bubble Milk tea is my favorites.I will return soon when I am in Sioux Falls area again.
I want to start by saying that I understand the labor shortage and was 100% patient thru this whole experience. With that being said, the service was horrendous and the sushinwas barely passable as sushi. The sushinrice fell apart and not 1 single bite of sushi was accomplished with an in-tact roll. Here was my experience from Sat Feb 5th..... 3 of us arrived at 7pm and expected to wait for a table. We patiently waited 30 minutes for a table. After being sat for 10 minutes, I asked for menus. After sitting for 15 minutes, we still had no water or order being taken, 20 minutes and still no water, 25 minutes passes and We all were parched from an hour wait. I had to stop a server and ask for waters. They brought waters and took our order (2 appetizers, 1 Hibachi salmon and 4 sushi rolls.) There appeared to be 2 sushi chefs and 4 people on the floor working. After sitring for 30 minutes, our Seaweed salad and edamamae showed up. Over the next 20 minutes, we finished the appetizers and had tocask for water 3 more times. After being seated for 1 hour, the Hibachi Salmon showed up. 1:15 at the table and they brought is a complementary crab appetizer. The Hibachi Salmon was finished before they attempted to deliver our sushi. At this point, I watched them deliver 3 rounds of sushi to tables that sat AT LEAST 30 minutes after us. 1:30 they brought our sushi to the table with spicy mayo on the top (which we ordered it on the side since my wife is lactose intolerant.) They remade the rolls in 5 minutes and we ate. The sushi was falling apart, the rice was wrong and not holding anything together. I had high expectations and we were severely let down. After being in the restaurant for 2 hours, we have decided that we will not be returning.
Tokyo on s. Louise is one of my favorite spots. They have great customer service and the food is always delicious. Every time I order food they seem to add in a little something extra that wasn't included just to be nice and let you try something new. Great people running it and I'll keep going back
I hope Sioux Falls, SD appreciates the gem they have with Tokyo Japanese Cuisine. I have eaten at countless Japanese eateries in the US, many of them in San Francisco’s Japantown, and this place is far superior to any I have come across. Delightful service, fresh hot perfectly served food and an atmosphere that is peaceful, clean and inviting make for a the perfect meal.
