Friendly attentive staff. Great food, big portions. Prices are a tad high, but worth it. Unlike other Mexican restaurants, the shrimp was fine and not freezer burnt or odd tasting.

Used to be our go to place for Sunday Brunch.....No longer the case. All the food was either cold or slightly warm at best. The bacon looked like it was cooked the night before, the tamales were disgusting and the rest of the selections are simply no longer up to the quality one would expect from Chevy's.Service was OK.....He only cleared our plates once and brought us our check.$17.99 for the experience is no longer worth the price. Save yourself the disappointment and make another choice.

This would be a lower rating if Chevies hadn’t been so good in the past. I understand that things cost more right now and prices need to reflect that but higher prices and reduced quantity really rubs me the wrong way. I got the fish tacos and I could have gotten more on the tortilla at Taco Johns. Tasted ok when I got a bit of fish in the bite. I hope things can turn around but Checy’s is off the menu for now. Sorry to leave a bad review for a place we used to love so much.PS. They must have stopped adding chips and salsa to the to-go orders now too.

We went here for supper as our son moved to Sioux Falls and I have wanted to try this restaurant for awhile. We were not impressed. Restaurant was really busy for a week night. We were immediately seated and our drink orders were taken. Chips and salsa were delivered and that was the last time we saw our waiter. I can't really fault him as I feel he was swamped with tables. Two other servers brought our food but we still had not received our drinks. My husband had to go up to the bar to get them. Food was warm but not hot. My entree was advertised as a bowl but came on a plate with separate items. There is something different about the chips that I really don't care for. Overall a very disappointing experience. Will stick to authentic Mexican restaurants.

We had an early dinner here on a weeknight. Restaurant was buzzing with people - both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor for the A/C. Complimentary chips and salsa came - chips are thicker than what I prefer and salsa was ok. Hubs ordered the Laredo platter and his items were LOADED with meat. He normally can finish a plate like that but not this time around. I ordered a pick two - chicken enchilada and carnitas taco with rice and charro beans. Everything was top notch i.e. lots of meat in the enchilada. The taco, however, was a disappointment. The shell had no crunch at all - kind of inedible. I just scraped out the carnitas (and there wasn't very much of that) and put it on a chip. As far as the restaurant itself, it needs a total redo. Women's restroom looked worn out. There was a big piece of metal at the bottom of the stall that was all bent up. The whole place feels like they need to take it down to the studs and have a do over. Our server was training someone and when we were finished he took FOREVER to return so that we could ask for our bill.

We have been regulars for quite some time. Today arrived at 8:10 PM and tables were empty but dirty. Lots of people standing around very few actually working. Manager no where to be found, turns out sitting in office apparently not paying attention. Nearly 27 minutes to get a table cleaned off. Had to go to the bar and get our own drinks and nearly another 30 minutes and no service to take our order. Requested a manager but took him nearly 7 minutes to even come from out back who couldn't even apologize or make a move to get us help just said he was short staffed where we clearly watched many staff chatting and three to sweep up a broken glass.

We came on a Sunday around 12:45pm, about 20 min wait. We had the option to have Sunday brunch until 1:30 or menus, we chose menus. Server was friendly and attentive, out food came out accurately and everything tasted great! We had 2 adults and 2 young kids.

So I get it, I’m from Texas so we are used to Mexican food and margs. But this is nowhere near what Mexican food taste like. The flavors are a bit off and seasonings are not what they should be. But, my food wasn’t bad. It’s not amazing. But it’s not horrible. The margaritas were just okay. Didn’t taste like tequila. The limes we requested were slices and not wedges so there’s no way to squeeze them into my marg. But hey, they’re like 25hrs away from Mexico. But just know if you’re a traveler from any state in the south, this won’t get your Mexican fix.

We went to Chevy's for the first time on a Friday night. The wait time was 30 minutes long. I was there with 4 other people. I ordered shrimp tacos they arrived cold. Corn was included and it was delicious but they only give you a tiny portion of it. The refried bacon beans were good and a decent portion. Overall disappointing experience! Chevys seems popular, so I had high hopes that it would be awesome. I will give them another chance.

The chips and salsa were fantastic! Down right addicting! Spoiled my appetite and had to bring home most of my entree! Waitress was amazing! She was intuitive, funny yet sincere, and hardworking! Entrées were yummy also! Great experience!
