The upstairs area is nice. The lack of waitstaff is less than ideal since you have to walk downstairs to the bar to get a drink.
Elk ravioli, burgers, steaks and osso bucco were all delicious. Maybe a little slow on getting food, but coming to expect that with workforce challenges everywhere! Very attentive servers.
Roof top view is nice. Menu and atmosphere is the only reason this is earning the stars I placed on this review. Service was the slowest service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. EVER. We travel all over and eat out alot. Not sure what was happening but will not return while still in this area. Duck was over done. Never saw our waiter after orders were taken until we went to find him and ask for the bill. Made the mistake of asking for dessert to go. 30 minits later. Never got an apology. Didn't offer to make up for anything on the bill and this place is higher priced to have this level of service. Extremely disappointing.
Great food with great service. A good menu of drinks and food. Views are astonishing. We will go back.
My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and were excited to try the restaurant that calls itself "the pinnacle of luxury". Good: elk ravioli appetizer, the $72 dry aged steak, and our waiter. Bad: everything else. They were out of the duck by 6 pm, bison osso buco so tough it was inedible, underseasoned steak, overcooked shrimp, 1/2 hour wait for dessert, liquid "panna cotta". At some point during our dinner, our waiter accidentally broke our wine bottle while clearing the table. It was a complete fluke, and the restaurant made it right by giving us half off our bottle price; I mention it only to highlight that the night seemed to be a comedy of errors, and we just had to laugh. I think my husband summed it up perfectly when he said that it seemed like it was the chef's night off. The check was $200 ($250 with tip), and for the money I just cannot recommend Vertex to anyone else. I think the worst part was the $20 cover fee for the "privilege" of enduring one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. At least the company was fantastic.Â
Celebrating wifeâs birthday and relocating to Rapid City. We had a perfect table with and great view, excellent service, good food/drinks and plenty of space and time to celebrate and reconnect. It was a all around great evening and experience. Excited to return again soon!
Server was very nice but orders and check were wrong. Food was terrible. Many other guests had the same problems we did. Manager apologized and reduced the bill but we would never eat here again.
Good dinner here & the view was OK. Not certain we would return here though. Reasonable wine list at reasonable prices.
Wait staff were friendly and checked in frequently. The atmosphere out on the deck was exactly what I was looking for to have a nice dinner with my wife.Appetizers and drinks were great, the filet the wife had was also great, but the Dry aged NY was a poor cut. The parts not rubbery and lined with elastin, gristle, that I could eat were tasty. Unfortunately it was about a third of the steak being wasted.
We ordered the bison Rosso bucco & it was inedible, tough, tough tough. Our server took it back & brought us steaks to replace it. She was wonderful Leslie.
