Delicious food and friendly staff...
Oddly busy for a Tuesday night. Was told that 20 to 30 minute wait ended up waiting about 45 minutes the food was good and was served in a fairly timely manner. The ribs were fall off the bone tender highly recommend them but their steaks are cut wrong so you end up with more of a gritty kind of steak due to the cut being across the grain of the meat instead of with it. Decent customer service.
awesome staff quick service kickazz food
I have been to many Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the last few years, and this is the only one where I've had a truly unpleasant experience. We almost walked out as soon as we entered the restaurant because the music was cranked up very loud and the people in the crowded restaurant were having to talk very loudly to be heard over the music, with a resulting noise level that was almost painful. Instead, we decided that the noise was probably not as bad when you got away from the entrance, so we waited for a table. Unfortunately, after waiting 15 minutes for a table, they tried to seat us under the music speaker near the entrance, where the noise was deafening. I don't expect a quiet environment when I go to a Texas Roadhouse, but this was just unbelievable. I ended up going to the car and retrieving my noise reducing earbud, a first for me! Unfortunately, things got much worse after that. My wife has food sensitivities and has to be very careful when ordering. Fortunately, she had found the perfect dish when we dined at a Texas Roadhouse in Wyoming, so she attempted to order the same thing. The waitress had an attitude that can only be described as dismissive. She warned my wife that if the shrimp were prepared the way she requested, they would be quite dry. My wife said that was fine, she had eaten them prepared that way a week ago, and they were dry, but tasty. When the shrimp arrived, they were swimming in what appeared to be butter. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said it was not butter, it was probably just water oozing out of the shrimp. Since this in no way resembled what we had been served at the other Texas Roadhouse location, we asked her to double check with the kitchen that there was no dairy. She refused! I have never had a waitress behave like this!
Just a fantastic experience. The food and service were both great. The steak tasted like one you get from a restaurant a lot more expensive. Our drinks stayed filled the whole time. I would definitely go back.
We were surprised to find this restaurant so busy on a Monday evening. Still, the wait was less than 15 minutes. We ordered two steaks. One steak was overdone and the replacement took a bit over ten minutes to prepare.Everything else was great and the 3 servers were attentive.
Our ribeye steaks were cooked right to order and tasted fine with just a simple salt/pepper seasoning. Everything else was also cooked fine, but unfortunately, the salads are pre-made and served on ice-cold plates, and it would be nice to get a beer in a glass that isn’t frozen as well. Still, the service was friendly and fast, and their fresh bread rolls with sweet butter are a satisfying family favorite. Mar 2022
This is the very first time we had such an uncomfortable experience at this particular restaurant. Our server Heaven, didn't check on us too much and I noticed there was no manager walking around to check on the customers like there usually is. As you can see from the photo, this should have been medium well but it looks more like raw than even rare! The steak was taken off of our final bill at least but she didn't come around to see how we were going to pay. I paid our bill online at least, otherwise I shudder to think how long we would wait for our card to be processed. This was one of a very few in Rapid city that we were happy to go to. This has never happened before and I am not sure if we will ever return. A letter to their corporate office along with our bill will be in the making...
The wait was pretty long, but it was a Saturday night. When we were initially sat, they crammed us into a booth next to a booth full of people with a table at the end. Needless to say it was extremely difficult getting situated with five adults and two babies, one of which we requested a high chair for and they gave us a booster seat because they couldn’t put a high chair at the end of the table. We requested to move and were told that it depended on table availability but were able to switch tables quickly. Our waitress was fairly quiet and seemed like she had a personal matter going on and didn’t want to be at work. She forgot a couple things that we had requested, like a kids sprite and a spoon. Some of the meals didn’t come out the way we had ordered them; like some steaks weren’t cooked to our request. Our waitress rarely checked on us and we had to go to the bar to request a refill on our soda. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience but definitely not the best that I’ve had at a Texas Roadhouse.
