Wow! What a place! Definitely worth a stop or two or three!! Food and service was outstanding! The outside looks like a car garage and you just might drive right on by looking for the place. Parking is in back or on the side. A couple spots in front but that's in case you missed the back and side like I did. Or if you know where to go they could be your first choice. Interior is a blast from the past...the 50s diner past. Memorabilia from past menus to historical photos to LPs and hub caps of cars long ago. Small diner with great food. You must not pass this up!
My Mom and I visited Rapid City for a week of sightseeing in the area in June of 2022. We mostly made breakfast at the rental we stayed at, but on the last day were looking for a local breakfast place before driving home. Ron's was Perfect! The people (staff and regulars) were so friendly, and the food was reasonably priced and so delicious. This is truly a hidden gem in Rapid City. I had the homemade corned beef hash and eggs with marble rye toast, and my plate was nearly dishwasher-clean when I finished. Yummmm! I never reached the bottom of my coffee cup before someone asked if I would like more. Mom had eggs, sausage with raisin toast and said that if we had discovered Ron's when we arrived, we would have skipped making breakfast at the cabin! Awesome establishment!
This is a local gem. Locally owned, great staff & service. Food was amazing. Fair prices.
This is the spot you only tell your best friends about cuz it's so good you don't want it to be overcrowded. Best corned beef I've had in 2 years and the breakfast burrito was pretty freaking amazing. I would wait tens of minutes to have breakfast in this spot
Found information about it on Trip Advisor, decided we would try them for breakfast. Had about a 20 min wait, but it is a small restaurant and was well worth the wait. I had 2 eggs, cooked perfectly, pancake (it was the size of the plate plus some) and 4 strips of bacon (only expected 2!). Very good, pancake was light. Couldn't finish it. Husband had the Mexican omelet: seasoned taco meat (said it didn't seem very seasoned to him), salsa on top. Said it was good, decent sized. Came with hash browns, toast. Staff was pleasant. Other patrons were very friendly! A definitely local place which is what we like!
Excellent food preparation, excellent service. Small place, quiet and clean. Park in back, enter from side door. Breakfast & lunch until 2:00 pm.
Ron's is the best anywhere for the classic breakfast eggs bacon toast and HASH BROWNS. The best hash browns, hand grated, crispy.
Ron's Cafe is the perfect Ma' and Pa' place. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the workers are so kind. I will now recommend this place to people who are looking for some good food and good service. Please eat here and enjoy!
