Food was just ok, service wasn't great. I asked for patio, but because I was single I was told I needed a party of 6 ( there was 5 open tables out there) instead I got a booth inside that seats 4. The chicken fajitas had no real flavor or spices...just cooked. The only outstanding thing was the guacamole. They also need to come up with a lunch menu, a person doesn't always need a full sit down meal at 1:30 in the afternoon. I'll pass next time
I wish I could rate this less. What a serious let down, I have no idea how they stay open. The food was awful, just awful. We had been on the road 7 hours so we ATE the food. Not a single bit of flavor, nothing Mexican about this place. Tex Mex maybe, like a “Tumbleweed” restaurant. The rice & beans were just disgusting. Had a fajita and it came out in like 3 minutes which was obviously a sign. The steak on it looked like a bag of freezer meat that was thrown in the microwave, the vegetables were pure mush. Drinks are outrageously priced for zero alcohol to be in them. Just a mess, they need some help in that kitchen asap. Also, the server was great, wasn’t her fault the food was foul.
I have a nice happy hour special with the specialty nachos half price. Make sure you tell them what you want on there so you don't get the wrong item. I found the drinks to be a little expensive. The place is very nice and cool and good chips and salsa. I'll definitely go back and try something else next time I'm in town. The bartender I don't know it's name is very friendly man on Monday night
Lots of choices on the menu to satisfy any appetite. We enjoyed dinner on the patio and the gas fire pit near our table. Loved the shrimp tacos - so flavorful!
Very nice place and friendly and good service. The atmosphere is great, I just found the food to be a bit bland and lacking in flavor.
The food & the service were both excellent! The prices seemed a bit high for what you get, but there can be no doubt about the quality of the product. It's the place to go for a special event or occasion, but is a bit too pricey for me to put it in my weekly rotation. Again, very good food & tip-top service, just a bit out of my everyday price range.
If you like margaritas, then this is your place. If you like Mexican food (or, food in general), don't waste your time and money. I've been there a few times (because friends wanted to eat there). When they first opened, their food was fantastic. It just went downhill from there. The last time we went with friends, about the only thing that was remotely edible was their nachos. Everything else was cold, the enchiladas were the worst I've ever had, and don't get me started on the "spanish rice." blelch. The service was terrible. They were understaffed, and we waited a long time for a table, and for our food to come. If I could give this place NO stars, I would.
The audacity. I understand there’s not much diversity in Rapid City, so it’s hard to come by food like this—but 16$ for two tacos? Never have I ever seen an authentic Mexican dish make such a jump (even including the rice and beans). The prices here are pretty ridiculous.- salsa: subpar, good amount of spice, tortilla chips were a bit stale- carne asada tacos: meat was a little flavorless and tough, the limes that came with it were dry. The rice and beans were very mediocre- carnitas: lacks flavor- horchata: pretty good, could use more flavor (less water mixed in) pretty small in size for the price- cadillac nachos w/ chicken: pretty good, the only thing that has a substantial amount of flavorOur waiter was absolutely wonderful, but these prices were very pretentious for what it really is. We asked her if they offered military discount and she said that management was “considering it”. No hate to her, hate to the owners. If you offered military discount the bill would make more sense for the food we got, so owner: consider it harder! Lots of military folk around here!!
Went here our second night in Rapid city, awesome food, service, and people. Very friendly server and quick too.
Not impressed. Every time I think I give it a shot, I remember why it's never at the top of my list. The food is mediocre. Margaritas are pretty good but a little overpriced. My nachos were cold. Overheard a server talk about writing a fake review on TA to get entered for a gift card contest. Pretty sus.
