We pulled up at about 12:25 lights and open sign were on, the door was unlocked. We even had an employee walk past us and not say anything. So we walk in and as I picked up a menu a lady walked up and said "Um Hi we are closed, we've been closed since 12" My husband said "alright thanks" but we were confused because not only did they appear to be open but it's Saturday night and their website & Google said they were open until 1:30 am. I generally do not go to this location and after this I definitely don't plan on going back.
We have never had a cold, or bad pizza from Pappa Johns on Mt. Rushmore Road, Rapid City, South Dakota. They deliver pretty fast, the pizza is hot, and tasty. I did email the company asking if they could add a section for online orders to request plates and seasonings. Hope they do that.

The pizza here is usually good, but the management is rude and impossible to deal with. Their website consistently won't let a person place an order, and when you call and try to explain the situation they refuse to honor the online prices, telling us we need to call the online website support if we have an issue. It shouldn't be the customer taking to the time to fix their problem, it should be the company.
Their pizza is one of the best in town. Delivery is always faster than estimated online.

I ordered pizza online for delivery. I was not told I was last on a long list of deliveries. The pizza was COLD when finally delivered. And it was UNCUT! Just one big circle. The worst service I have ever experienced. I do not recommend ordering from this Papa John’s Pizza.
Pathetic and worst experience. Staff was eating pizza in front of us when we went to pick up the order. The pizza was not baked at all. Dough and toppings were almost raw. Threw whole pizza just after 1 bite. I am not sure if the staff is following any hygiene procedures. Avoid papa John's in rapid city.
Outstanding service. Prompt delivery & amazing food. The only reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because my pizza wasn’t cut at all hahaha. Usually that comes after a disaster experience but that wasn’t the case. Someone just spaced it. Definitely will order again when I come back to visit next time!
