I can't believe this place is open. Worst food ever. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. I got a trio plate and the meat was so dry I couldn't eat it. The sausage was so dry it literally crumbled when I put a fork in it. I don't how you can serve something like that and have any sort of conscience. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Pukeworthy. Do not go.
Been to this place 3 times now. The first time it was great. The last two times it’s been absolutely horrible. Dried out brisket ribs not even cooked all the way. There idea of smoked turkey is a joke processed garbage. Not sure if can even call what I got mashed potatoes. Looks like they were sitting in a steam table since the night before.
Phenomenal!!! We pondered visiting this place over quite some time. We finally tried Maple St BBQ yesterday. It did not disappoint. The bbq sauce is amazing! I tried the Original and KC Sweet and Sour. Both were great but I think Original was my favorite out of the two. My fiance had the Texas Coffee and the Carolina. She loved them both too. The food was even better! I had the turkey breast, and it was juicy and full of flavor. My fiance had the pulled pork sandwich which ended up turning into 3 meals! We just loved everything about the food and the experience at Maple St BBQ. Plus the owner tries to come out and talk to to everyone. He visited with us. He just wants to get to know his customers and see what they think of the food. Just an all-around great experience! We can't wait to go back! We highly recommend this place. You will definitely leave satisfied! A++++
Absolutely delicious BBQ! HIGHLY recommend this addictive and phenomenal food. Atmosphere is definitely comfortable and friendly. They offer high chairs for those in need, restrooms and soft serve ice cream. I’m so glad I stopped by and tried this place out. Conveniently located inside the Rushmore Mall.
Very Good Food. The Smoked Turkey Sandwich was tender & flavorful. The side dishes were very good w generous portions. Order at the counter & bus your own tables after so if u want table Service this isnt your place. Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine for Dessert.
Worst server ever, wife tried to order and the gentleman in the picture started reading my wife the riot act that she needed to slow down and this wasn't a fast food joint. The order : 2 baked potatoes and a brisket sandwich. Server was being ridiculous. I am a vet and for as much as they want to preach how well they want to serve us, I am led to believe that after this encounter I will never eat here again. Didn't even get the sandwich.
Of course and like most things, BBQ can very from day-to-day/batch. Only been here once. The brisket was absolutely phenomenal; pulled pork seemed like good meat, but a little lacking on moisture, flavor. Fried okra was fresh; coleslaw decent.Look for any daily specials. Left a bit hungry for having spent $15, but the brisket was worth it. Staff helpful, service was fast.
What can I say? It was shocking. We went out expecting to have good BBQ. It was far from it. Dried out, over salted flavorless meat, and the sides were a disappointment. Mac and cheese was cold. On top of that, the place was filthy dirty. I will never go back.
From someone that makes most of their meals from scratch and rarely eats out, Maple St BBQ is one of my favorite restaurants. Small town feel, despite being located in the mall, food is delicious and good value for the money. Their "deal of the day" is definitely worth doing and the free ice cream from the machine is a nice bonus. Nice selection of sauces for your meat and sides.
I’m not really sure how this place is getting any good reviews. This is by far the worst BBQ I have ever had. I lived in SC for 6 years and even the worst BBQ I had there was miles better than this. The pork was bland and flavorless, brisket was also flavorless and very dry. All the sides and sauces tasted like they were store bought. The staff also had a very bad attitude. There was a couple sitting a few tables away from us who told, who I would imagine was the owner, that it was the best bbq they’ve ever had. Which is really sad because they must not know what good bbq tastes like. Waste of $40.
