This place was great the beer was a local craft beer that I tried it was delicious in the pizza was amazing I definitely recommend this place we got there at 3 and by the time we left at 4 it was packed during the week so they open at 3 so get there early if you don't want to wait
A Must See in Rapid City!! Best/Most Local Brews on tap, Amazing pizzas and a great variety of them! Friendly, attentive bar staff and servers! As a local I've been here MANY times and can't remember Ever having a bad experience!
Always something new on tap and probably the best Flatbread style pizza in town. On the pricey end for Rapid at $6-9 for 12-16oz pours but they are all premium craft beers so that's really to be expected. Not all of the menu items are really to my taste but you can go weekly and still see something new in the food or tap menu every single time
We were staying the night in Rapid City, on our way to Montana, and that particular evening we were in the mood for pizza. Since Independent Ale House had such a high rating, we decided to check them out, and WOW did they live up to expectations!!! This looks and has the feel of a typical hipster hangout, which is ok in my book. The service was excellent and so was the pizza!!! My wife and I got sausage, pepperoni, and garlic on our pizza...my daughter had a small Bernardo's Pizza...BOTH pizzas were FANTASTIC!!! Good ingredients, and the crust was amazing!! I would definitely recommend this place.
Great pizza and easy carry out! I went in to pick up the order and wished I could have stayed a bit longer to enjoy a brew. This is a cool establishment with a good vibe.
This place has an excellent craft beer selection and the Althea Pizza was very good. In downtown and of course easy drive anywhere in Rapid City

Exceptional pizza and 50 beers on tap. Is this heaven or what? My wife was thrilled that Lindemans Framboise (Raspberry Lambic) was one of the beers on tap. We started with the Mediterranean salad and then had the Four Seasons pizza. Superb! A must visit when you are in Rapid City.
Worst initial service I ever experienced. Sign said “seat yourself”. There was only one empty table and it was dirty. We sat at the dirty table waiting for the waitress to clean it. She rudely told us to stand up. She took the dishes and disappeared. We waited several minutes. Then she took the order of another table while we were still standing and waiting for our table to be cleaned. Finally, a busboy wiped the table and we sat. Another 5-10 minutes passed without the waitress greeting us or even giving us menus. I realize many restaurants are short staffed and service in general is suffering, but this was not the case. This waitress was annoyed that we sat at a dirty table and was purposely being rude and dismissive. We left without anyone even caring.
We ordered the pepperoni pizza. The crust was very, very thin. Pizza tasted good for a quick dinner. They do not deliver to the hotel Alex Johnson where we were staying.
