Veteran wait staff are great, especially June! New wait staff huddle 4 deep around new mgr. New mgr is a doofus, no cust svc skills period. Anything beef, ie burger steak is boiled, or steamed, same difference comes out dripping gray. Actually I question if it is beef. Breakfast good but request it fresh.
No longer a Marlins. Our waitress was nice, but very forgetful. Had ordered a water, and an orange juice. She only brought the orange juice. Had to ask for water again. After I requested the water, she turned to get the customer behind us. She finally brought the water, but gave it to the customer behind us. The one who did not want water. So, asked for cranberry juice instead, and it arrived quickly. Asked for water a 3rd time, never got it.My boyfriend ordered a omlette, and it was raw with a spoiled piece of ham.Told manager, and it was omitted on the bill but was charged for 3 large drinks. This place went and took a swan dive to bad service, and poorly cooked food.I really hope things change for the best. Like it used to be.
Server was very good. Omelette was good , hash browns were actually still frozen. They took care of it promptly. It was ok.
Food was excellent and great service.
We had breakfast here 2 days in a row. The 1st day we both had the special which was 3 eggs, hashbrowns, 2 sausage patties and toast and excellent coffee. It was delicious! All for $25 for the 2 of us. The carmel/cinnamon rolls looked so good we went back the next day. The roll was huge and delicious. I had French toast, eggs and sausage. Yummy. They have their own bakery and pies looked tempting. Highly recommend. Under new owner and menus.
Our first time. While there, heard it was the establishment's last day in the "Marlin's" family; that management was being taken over by the Country Corner chain. As such, their breakfast buffet was ending. It was a busy, and seemingly beloved, diner. A time capsule to a different era. As such, it was more than just food: it was an experience.
Marlin's has overall good food at a decent price.Especially their Monday night 2 for one burgers or their Friday night fish fry.We have always had good waitresses.Unfortunately they are currently understaffed like most places, so you may wait a bit longer than normal. It is what it is!
Breakfast buffet is a horrible!!! EVERYTHING was cold except the strawberries! The plates were wet which tells me they are NOT washed in hot water! The scrambled eggs were tasteless and runny, the bacon was barely cooked!! I watched the manager wipe a table off.....one swipe down the center! Every waiter/waitress put their fingers on the top of the glasses when they set them on the table!!!!!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is consistently good and the service is impeccable every time I go here. Choices are typical diner fare but it is never disappointing and it is reasonably priced. Worth a visit and it is a great place for having conversations as it doesn't have any annoyingly loud background music and it is usually sparsely popular.
This place is really Hit-and-miss.Most times you can go in here and have an amazing meal, And sometimes it's barely edible or the service ignores you. Most times the foods pretty good though.Early covid : They would be open, but turning customers away do to under staffing.
