I had this expectation that whataburger didn't meet. I'm from Erie Pennsylvania and moved to Columbia south Carolina. I always thought whataburger was this great fast food chain boy was I disappointed. It's an average expensive fast food joint. I'm not saying it's not worth iti just thought in my head that it was the holy Grail of fast food joints. First the lady at the register. Horrible horrible customer service skills. You can tell she hates either her life or her job or both. People take a job knowing it gets busy then they get mad it's busy. Makes no sense. The burger is average at best the seasoning on the burger is almost on the line of being weird tasting but it isn't. The crinkle cut fries were nice and crunchy and they upsell the large size by not refilling your drinks. I guess that's genius on their end blame it on covid and force people to buy large. You aren't going to tell me sticking a cup under a fountain has anything to do with covid yet you refill the tea and water which you pour from a pitcher. Makes no sense that way but from business it does it forces you to buy a large. On top of everything they serve nasty flat tasting disgusting Pepsi. Coke is the biggest soft drink in the world. Get with the times. It's good if you are looking for fast food. I guess in my head I built whataburger up like it was this great place so I disappointed myself. They still get 4 stars because it wasn't awful it was decent like I said I just had it built up in my mind thinking it was the greatest fast food place ever. It was good.
It doesn't look like much on the outside or in the basket but let me tell you it has a whole lot of goodness on the inside. This is what the Five Guys and Fosters Grill is trying to achieve but they don't come close. This is the real deal. The burgers are the best and the fries are great. It comes out pretty fast even when they are busy. There are plenty of seats on the inside with restrooms but you can also take it outside or just take it to go.
Serene environment with good amount of customers trooping in and out. The fish fillet burger was really good.
Clean restaurant and restroom. Service was quick, although we visited on Christmas Eve so it wasn't busy at all. Food was good. I had the double Whataburger with cheese combo for $11 and it was plenty of food. Sweet tea is free refills, but soda is not. My daughter had the chicken tenders and said they were good. The restaurant was decorated nice for the holidays, and the staff was very friendly.
Great customer service and a bangin' burger to boot
I grew up on What A Burger and once lived right behind it. Friday nights were my WAB nights after house cleaning. Yesterday was the first time in years I've been to WAB and I was so happy to find nothing changed. My cheeseburger basket was hot and strawberry shake fresh. WAB and childhood memories made yesterday's lunch a treat. I won't wait years to go back again.
Last Friday was the first time ever trying this place and I thought the food and service was 100% came back on yesterday 10/13 and it was even better. This place is very clean and have friendly staff. Those burgers are soooo delicious. Everything was so hot and fresh. I will most definitely take that ride from Sumter just to get a taste
The staff are so nice. Food is made fresh while you wait and everything is hot. There honey mustard is amazing and I love there crinkle cut fries. This was my first time here but it has for sure become my go to burger place
I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The food was delicious as always. The people that work here are always friendly. Everything was nice and clean. I've been eating here since I can remember and now I bring my own children. I've never had a bad experience. I love coming here and can't wait to go back! Thank you for great service and food!
